Former MLA Navrang Singh Jakhar passes away, had significant contribution in politics and social service

Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan —Senior leader Navrang Singh Jakhar, a two-time MLA from the Nawalgarh assembly constituency, has passed away. The 91-year-old had been unwell for some time and was recently admitted to a private hospital in Jaipur due to breathing problems, where he breathed his last during treatment.

Navrang Singh Jakhar’s political journey epitomized simplicity, service, and dedication. He was first elected MLA from Nawalgarh in 1977 on a Janata Party ticket. He then won again in 1985 as a Lok Dal candidate. During his tenure, he paid special attention to the development of infrastructure such as education, roads, and irrigation in the area.

His funeral procession will begin from his native village, Dhamora Ghotu, Jakhar Ki Dhani, where he will be cremated with full state honors.

According to locals, Navrang Singh Jakhar had the image of an honest, composed, and down-to-earth leader. He always believed in simplicity and mingled with the people. His passing has been described as a great loss in the region.

Navrang Singh Jakhar may no longer be in this world, but the memories of his service and struggle will always live on in the hearts of the people.
