Carrie Underwood: From American Idol Winner to Global Country Music Superstar

Carrie Underwood is one of the biggest names in country music and one of the most successful artists to come from reality television. From winning American Idol in 2005 to becoming a global music icon, her journey is a story of talent, hard work, and consistency.
Born on March 10, 1983, in Muskogee, and raised on her familyās farm in Checotah, Carrie discovered her love for singing at a very young age. She often performed at church events, local talent shows, and school functions, where her powerful voice quickly gained attention.
She graduated as salutatorian from Checotah High School in 2001 and later attended Northeastern State University, where she studied mass communication and graduated magna cum laude in 2006.
