Bhajanlal Jatav Blames ‘Traitors’ in Congress for 2023 Election Loss

Congress MP Bhajanlal Jatav from Dholpur-Karauli launched a scathing attack on internal party members during a “Save Constitution Rally” held in Vair, Bharatpur on June 23. He stated that his loss in the 2023 Assembly elections from the Vair-Bhusawar seat was due to betrayal by insiders, not a public rejection.

Jatav claimed that some individuals were pretending to support Congress but were secretly aiding the BJP. “They cheer for us, take help from us, but cast their vote for BJP,” he said.

He accused Sunil Jatav, RLP candidate in the 2023 elections, of accepting ₹50 lakh from BJP candidate Bahadur Koli. He alleged Sunil used the money for helicopters, rallies, new cars, and alcohol distribution.

Calling them “shameless,” Jatav declared that traitors would no longer be welcomed in the Congress party and criticized RLP leader Vikesh Valmiki for running as an independent and betraying the party.

In response, Sunil Jatav said, “Bhajanlal is the real traitor. In 2020, he supported BJP’s Vishnu Mahawar in the Vair Municipal elections. His accusations are baseless—I fought independently to teach him a lesson.”
