Axar Patel gets the first breakthrough, Matthew Short returns to the pavilion – Australia make a strong start

In the fourth T20I between India and Australia, Team India got their first breakthrough with Axar Patel. He dismissed Australian batsman Matthew Short LBW to provide the breakthrough. Short scored a quickfire 25 off 19 balls before departing.

After the initial setback, Josh Inglis joined captain Mitchell Marsh. After five overs, Australia were 39 for one. Both batsmen were cautious but quick in their efforts to accumulate runs.

Australia scored 48 runs in the six overs of the powerplay. During this period, Marsh and Inglis maintained the run rate with some attractive shots. Although the team suffered an early setback, they did not let it affect the run rate.

At this stage of the match, the Indian bowlers are trying to take the second wicket quickly and put pressure on the Australian batsmen.
