Assam Premier League T20 Unveiled As Eight Teams Fight For Glory

The Assam Cricket Association has officially launched the highly anticipated Assam Premier League to elevate regional cricket talent. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma unveiled the dazzling new trophy and the official logo during a grand ceremony at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.

The inaugural tournament will feature eight competitive teams representing different regions of the state. These franchises include the Guwahati Royals, Jorhat Stallions, Tezpur Titans, Dibrugarh Warriors, Nagaon Rangers, Barpeta Braves, Charaideo Sunrisers and Barak Legends.

This professional cricket tournament aims to discover homegrown talent and provide local cricketers a platform to shine on the national stage. High stakes action begins on August 1 with 33 high octane matches scheduled.

This national exposure offers state players an exceptional chance to enter the radar of major Indian Premier League scouts. A player auction is scheduled for July where franchises will build their 20 member squads.
