Karauli, Rajasthan – District police have arrested Aminuddin Khan, the main accused in the Nav Samvatsar riots that occurred in Karauli on April 2, 2022. Aminuddin Khan is the son of Rashida Khatoon, former chairperson of the Karauli Municipal Council.
Aminuddin was arrested a few days ago by police on charges of online betting and was lodged in the Hindaun City Jail. Aminuddin was arrested on a production warrant from the Sub-District Jail, Hindaun City.On April 2, 2022, a procession and bike rally held in Karauli to celebrate the Hindu New Year, Nav Samvatsar, were subjected to planned stone pelting, arson, and violence.

Approximately 30 people were injured, and private and government property belonging to approximately 80 people was severely damaged. Police have already arrested 54 accused in this case.
According to Superintendent of Police Lokesh Sonwal, accused Aminuddin Khan is the alleged mastermind of the riots and attack.
