Sooryavanshi shattered the historic IPL record previously held by Chris Gayle for most sixes in a single IPL season. Gayle had smashed 59 sixes during the 2012 season, a record that stood untouched for years.
During the high-pressure Eliminator clash against Hyderabad, Suryavanshi went after the bowlers from the very beginning and surpassed the legendary milestone with an explosive innings.

The teenage batter completed his half-century in only 16 deliveries, putting Hyderabad’s bowling attack under tremendous pressure. He continued his aggressive approach and raced to 97 runs off just 28 balls before getting dismissed.

With this innings, Suryavanshi also equaled Nicholas Pooran in another major IPL achievement. Both players have now registered five half-centuries in IPL history in fewer than 20 balls.
