JAIPUR: If you frequently order fresh fruits, vegetables, and daily essentials through online delivery apps, a recent crackdown in Rajasthan’s capital might make you want to look closer at your delivery packets. A major enforcement drive has exposed severe hygiene violations and safety lapses hidden behind the convenience of digital grocery shopping.

Acting on the strict directives of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma and Health Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, the food safety department has intensified its “Shuddh Aahar, Milawat Par Vaar” (Pure Food, War on Adulterated Goods) campaign. As part of this ongoing mission, a joint task force launched a surprise raid on Saturday, June 13, 2026, targeting a prominent grocery firm in Jaipur’s Golyawas area.

Unlabeled and Expired Items Prepped for Market Supply

The joint operation was spearheaded by Additional Commissioner Shri Bhagwat Singh’s central team along with the Food Safety wing of CMHO Jaipur II. The target was the warehouses of M/s Ikart, located in Girraj Nagar, Golyawas.

According to Food Safety Commissioner Dr. T. Shubhamangala, inspectors intercepted a loading pickup truck packed with large sacks of lentils (pulses) and rice that were completely missing mandatory packaging dates. The vehicle was reportedly moments away from leaving the premises to supply local retail markets.

The team immediately halted the shipment, confiscated 22 large sacks, and extracted random samples of masoor dal (red lentils) and rice for lab testing. Furthermore, the firm’s management was legally bound to immediately halt the sale of any inventory lacking clear manufacturing or expiry labels. On-site inspectors discovered and destroyed roughly 450 kg of expired flour (atta) and pulses on the spot.

Appalling Hygiene Flaws: From Dirty Cold Rooms to Overheated Sauces

As the team inspected different wings of the facility, they uncovered conditions that directly compromised public health standards:

The Fruit & Vegetable Section: This specific cold storage zone handled incoming online orders. Inspectors found the room in a highly unsanitary state, with workers operating inside while wearing outdoor footwear. Furthermore, fresh produce was found dumped directly onto the bare floor.

The Hotel-Restaurant Supply Warehouse: Perishable condiments—including mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, cheese spreads, and non-dairy creams—were stored directly on the floor without any protective pallets. Worse, they were stacked inside a poorly ventilated tin-shed warehouse exposed to extreme summer temperatures, directly violating standard preservation protocols.

Seizure of Non-Dairy Cream: Recognizing the risk of spoilage, officers seized 24 cartons containing 950 bottles (500 ml each) of non-dairy cream, pending laboratory evaluation.

Legal Actions and Penalties Pending

In the confectionery department, authorities discovered a massive pile of expired goods returned from the market. The management received strict mandates to safely dispose of this waste immediately.

In total, the enforcement wing seized 1,300 kg of dubious food items and collected 7 distinct food samples across various categories for comprehensive chemical analysis.

Due to the extensive statutory violations observed across the facility, the department is issuing a formal legal notice to M/s Ikart under Section 32 of the Food Safety and Standards Act. The successful raid was executed by a dedicated panel of Food Safety Officers, including Vinod Sharma, Sushil Chotwani, Vinod Tharwan, Devendra Ranawat, Ramesh Yadav, Amit Sharma, Lokesh Sharma, and Rajesh Nagar.

Jaipur: When a crisis strikes and the world comes to a standstill, a few anonymous heroes stand tall on the frontlines, driven solely by the spirit of ‘Nation First’. Whether it was the harrowing 26/11 terror attacks or the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, the inspiring saga of these selfless workers (Karmayogis) has been powerfully depicted in the film ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’.

On Friday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma attended a special screening of the movie in the state capital, offering profound tributes to the sacrifices and dedication of these unsung champions.

A Star-Studded Event with Kangana Ranaut and Diya Kumari

The special screening, hosted at the Entertainment Paradise (EP) Miraj Cinemas near Jawahar Circle, witnessed a vibrant convergence of politics and cinema. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma was joined by the film’s lead actress and newly elected Member of Parliament (MP), Kangana Ranaut.

Adding to the grandeur of the event, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, MP Manju Sharma, and the film’s producers and directors were also in attendance. The audience was further enriched by a large gathering of nursing professionals and school-college students who came to watch the inspiring cinematic piece.

‘Nation First’ is the True Mark of an Ideal Citizen: CM

Sharing his thoughts after watching the film, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that the true identity of an ideal citizen lies in their sensitivity towards society and an unwavering commitment to the nation.

“The country has witnessed the selfless service of countless frontline workers during testing times, right from the 26/11 terror attacks to the devastating coronavirus pandemic,” the CM remarked. “Our security personnel, doctors, and nursing staff risked their own lives to set an unparalleled example of humanity. This film is a vivid and brilliant portrayal of their courage and sacrifice.”

Congratulating the filmmakers and the entire production team, the Chief Minister noted that such inspiring cinema plays a pivotal role in awakening a sense of social responsibility and patriotism among the youth. He urged the younger generation to actively step forward and contribute to social service and national development.

Real-Life Heroes Honored on Stage

The special event was not just a celebration of the heroes on the silver screen but also an acknowledgment of the real-life warriors off-screen. Recognizing their immense contributions to the healthcare sector, several nursing professionals were specially felicitated on stage for their unwavering dedication and exemplary service, which doubled the enthusiasm and pride of everyone present in the theater.

Udaipur, June 12, 2026: For rural citizens accustomed to making endless rounds of government offices, the Rajasthan government’s latest outreach initiative has emerged as a beacon of hope. The ‘Gramin Seva Shivir-2026‘ (Rural Service Camp) kicked off in the Udaipur district, proving on its very first day that when a sensitive administration reaches the village square, decades-old grievances can be resolved in minutes. The inaugural day witnessed an overwhelming response, bringing smiles to the faces of farmers and the elderly who received immediate benefits from various state schemes.

Financial Lifeline for Farmer: ₹1.25 Lakh Subsidy Approved Instantly

Modern agriculture heavily relies on mechanized equipment, but financial constraints often hold small farmers back. Shankarlal, a farmer from Ladani village in the Mavli block, was struggling to purchase essential farming machinery. The rural camp held in Mavli proved to be a turning point for him.

Prompt Action: Assistant Agriculture Officer Parasram Jat, present at the camp, identified Shankarlal’s plight and detailed the state’s subsidy schemes for equipment like the multi-crop thresher.

On-the-Spot Cheque: Paperwork was expedited immediately. In the presence of ADM City Jitendra Ojha and Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Ramesh Sirvi Punadiya, Shankarlal was handed a subsidy cheque worth ₹1,25,000.

Overjoyed by this instant financial support, Shankarlal expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.

Tech Hurdle Cleared: Stalled Pensions Restored via OTP

For the elderly women of Chandwas Gram Panchayat, the camp served as a crucial lifeline.

Senior citizens Harku, Rajudi, and Savli had not received their social security pensions for several months. Their disbursements were halted due to repeated biometric and face-recognition verification failures.

Understanding the urgency, the Block Development Officer (BDO) immediately directed the technical team to intervene. Bypassing the faulty biometrics, the team utilized an OTP-based verification process. Within minutes, the verification was successful, and their stalled pensions were restored.

Additionally, Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) were handed over on the spot to other local women, including Rama, Varki, and Keshari.

Red Tape Slashed: Land Records Corrected and Certificates Issued

Beyond financial aid, the camp efficiently handled routine administrative bottlenecks:

Marriage Registration: Udaylal, a resident of Chandwas, had his paperwork processed rapidly and was issued his marriage registration certificate directly at the camp.

Revenue Map Correction: During the camp at Chirwa Gram Panchayat, Rajesh (son of the late Narayanlal Menaria) applied for a correction in his land maps (Naksha Shuddhikaran). Taking swift cognizance, SDO Mansukh Damor and Naib Tehsildar Ramesh Kumar Rajpurohit ordered immediate rectifications in the revenue records, providing immense relief to the landowner.

A Testament to ‘Good Governance’

The atmosphere at the camps was electric, with villagers thrilled to see pension restorations, PPO distributions, land record corrections, and massive subsidies happening under a single roof. Beneficiaries praised the administration’s proactive approach, noting that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s vision of bringing governance to the doorsteps of the common man is translating into tangible, on-ground reality.

Karauli: To showcase a decade-plus journey of nationwide progress and policy transformations, a grand three-day ‘Development Exhibition’ was officially inaugurated at the Town Hall of the Information Centre in Karauli. Organized to commemorate the successful completion of 12 years of the Central Government, the event was formally opened on Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by local MLA Darshan Singh Gurjar.

The exhibition serves as a visual bridge between the government and the public, aiming to spread widespread awareness about various public welfare schemes, flagship programs, and the infrastructural milestones achieved by both the central and state governments.

“Welfare Schemes Reaching the Last Person in Line”

Addressing the gathering during the inauguration, MLA Darshan Singh Gurjar highlighted the synchronized efforts of the current leadership. He stated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the center and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma in Rajasthan, development is scaling new heights every day.

The MLA emphasized the government’s core philosophy of ‘Antyodaya’, assuring that the administration remains highly committed to ensuring the benefits of welfare schemes reach the most marginalized individuals—the last person standing in the line. The exhibition vividly captures these 12 years of central achievements through detailed pictorial representations, while also highlighting the milestones that have placed Rajasthan at the forefront on a national level.

“12 Years of Trust, Development, and Public Welfare”

The event is being overseen by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR). Assistant Director Dharmendra Kumar Meena shared that the core theme of the exhibition is “12 saal vishwas ke, vikas ke, jankalyan ke” (12 Years of Trust, Development, and Public Welfare).

He noted that the local populace is showing immense enthusiasm and actively participating in the event. Through creative displays, the exhibition offers a deep dive into revolutionary changes across critical sectors, including:

Rural Development & Infrastructure

Women’s Empowerment & Safety

Farmer Welfare & Agricultural Policies

Youth Employment & Skill Development

Health, Education, and Water Conservation

Meena appealed to the citizens of Karauli district to visit the Town Hall in large numbers over the next three days to maximize their understanding of these beneficial schemes.

Prominent Dignitaries in Attendance

The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of several key administrative and departmental figures, reinforcing the event’s significance. Prominent attendees included Additional District Collector Hemraj Paridwal, public representative Govardhan Singh, Industries Department General Manager Ganesh Sharma, Animal Husbandry Joint Director Dr. Gangasahai Meena, Ayurveda Department Deputy Director Kaduram Meena, and PMO Dr. Ramkesh Meena.
Jaipur, June 2, 2026: In a monumental stride toward the complete digitization of India’s healthcare sector, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) has crossed a historic benchmark of 90 crore (900 million) registered ‘ABHA’ (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) accounts across the country. Leading this digital healthcare revolution from the front, Rajasthan has secured the second position in the nation by creating over 7 crore 19 lakh (71.9 million) unique ABHA IDs.

Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the expansion of high-quality healthcare facilities is continuously reaching from remote villages and hamlets (Dhanis) to major urban towns in Rajasthan. The implementation of this technological innovation is making patient data management seamless, transparent, and citizen-centric.

What is an ‘ABHA’ ID and Why is it Game-Changing?

An ABHA ID is a 14-digit unique health identity that serves as a highly secure digital medical locker for citizens. It acts as the core foundation for a patient’s medical history and identity across the Indian healthcare ecosystem.

Key Benefits for Patients:

Hassle-Free Paperless Healthcare: All diagnostic lab reports, digital prescriptions, and historical medical data are securely stored within this single ID. This completely eliminates the need for patients to carry bulky physical medical files during hospital visits.

Absolute Data Security & Privacy: A patient’s health data is fully encrypted and secure. No doctor, hospital, or medical professional can access or view the records without explicit digital consent from the patient, ensuring total privacy.

Streamlined & Accurate Treatment: Access to an institutionalized digital medical history allows doctors to instantly understand a patient’s past ailments and allergies with a single click, ensuring accurate and timely medical intervention during emergencies.

IHMS Integration: The Integrated Health Management System (IHMS)—an ABDM-compliant software—seamlessly links electronic health records (EHR) with the patient’s ABHA ID, connecting hospitals, laboratories, and doctors into one unified network.

Rapid Year-on-Year Growth of ABHA Registrations

The data over the last five years showcases an exponential upward trajectory in the adoption of digital health identities by citizens:

2021: 14.7 Crore

2022: 30.4 Crore

2023: 50.6 Crore

2024: 72.2 Crore

2025: 84.5 Crore

2026 (Current): Passed the 90 Crore milestone

Rajasthan’s Strong Performance in Digital Health Infrastructure

With 7.19 crore registered accounts, Rajasthan’s second-place ranking reflects high civic awareness and efficient administrative execution. By integrating this digital ecosystem into government hospitals and local health centers, the state is successfully minimizing administrative delays, reducing healthcare delivery costs, and establishing a highly transparent model for public health management.

Jaipur: In a significant move to boost industrial growth and enhance workplace wellness, the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) is rapidly transforming the state’s industrial landscape. Following the directives of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, RIICO is not only simplifying the process of setting up new businesses but is also integrating sports and fitness infrastructure directly into industrial zones.

Recently, RIICO completed an e-bidding process to allocate 15 strategic industrial plots on a rental basis. Out of these, 12 plots have been designated for developing sports facilities, while 3 plots are reserved for the innovative ‘Plug and Play’ model.

Here is a breakdown of how this initiative will reshape the state’s industrial ecosystem:

A Boon for Startups: The ‘Plug and Play’ Model

Traditionally, new entrepreneurs and young startups spend substantial time, capital, and effort purchasing land and constructing factories. To eliminate these initial roadblocks, RIICO has introduced the ‘Plug and Play’ facility. Under this model, entrepreneurs get access to ready-to-use physical infrastructure, allowing them to begin operations or production immediately.

Key Locations: The three premium plots for Plug and Play setups have been allocated at Sitapura Phase-III (Jaipur), the Agro Food Park in Boranada (Jodhpur), and the Agro Food Park in Ranpur (Kota). This setup is expected to significantly reduce go-to-market time for young business minds.

Prioritizing Employee Wellness: Sports Complexes in 10 Districts

To promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy work-life balance among industrial workers, 12 plots across 10 districts have been earmarked exclusively for sports infrastructure.

The designated industrial areas include:

Jaipur: Sitapura Phase-III, Apparel Park, and Bagru (Chhitroli)

Kota: Indraprastha Industrial Area

Jodhpur: Boranada

Khairthal-Tijara (Alwar hub): Bhiwadi (Karoli)

Other Districts: Abu Road (Arbuda) in Sirohi, Jhunjhunu-II, Kishangarh in Ajmer, Pali Phase-IV, Kherda in Sawai Madhopur, and Reengus Extension in Sikar.

Revenue Generation and Lease Structure

This e-bidding drive serves a dual purpose—supporting industries while generating steady revenue for the state exchequer.

Total Land Area: The 15 allocated plots span a cumulative area of approximately 9 acres.

Annual Rental Income: RIICO will generate an annual rental revenue of approximately ₹2.28 crore (₹228 lakh) from these leases.

Lease Tenure: The plots have been allotted for a primary lease period of 15 years, with a provision for a 10-year extension based on regulatory compliance and performance.

By implementing these modern industrial policies, RIICO is drastically enhancing the Ease of Doing Business in Rajasthan. This strategy will not only generate fresh employment opportunities but will also foster a healthier, more vibrant corporate culture within the state’s manufacturing hubs.

Jaipur: Amidst the severe heatwave gripping the state, the Rajasthan government has intensified its efforts to combat the drinking water crisis and provide relief to the public. Operating under the strict directives of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has swung into full action mode. The six special state-wide campaigns launched by the department have yielded highly positive results, ensuring smooth and clean water supply across regions.

According to official data, these targeted campaigns have successfully resolved 15,995 drinking water-related complaints and issues, bringing massive relief to thousands of families during this scorching summer.

By the Numbers: How is the Public Getting Relief?

Special PHED teams have been working round the clock to restore the state’s water supply infrastructure. Major improvement works completed during these six campaigns include:

Repairing Handpumps and Leaks: The department successfully repaired 3,077 faulty handpumps across the state and fixed 1,644 pipeline leakages, preventing immense water wastage.

Improving Supply and Pressure: Low water pressure issues were resolved at 978 locations, and regular water supply was restored in 1,144 areas that were facing complete disruptions.

Tackling Contaminated Water: The teams swiftly addressed 121 complaints regarding dirty or polluted water. Additionally, hundreds of cases related to short-duration and low-volume supply were permanently fixed.

Strict Action on Water Theft: 1,401 Illegal Connections Removed

Illegal connections remain a major contributor to water scarcity. Prioritizing water conservation, the department cracked down heavily on water theft, removing a total of 1,401 illegal water connections during the drive.

In the sixth phase of the campaign alone, 336 illegal connections were severed. These were being unlawfully used by hotels, roadside dhabas, Saras dairy booths, and for agricultural purposes. This strict enforcement has significantly boosted water availability for domestic use by the general public.

On-the-Spot Solutions: 2,600 Complaints Resolved Instantly

The department carried out intensive ground inspections in both urban and rural areas. Demonstrating high administrative efficiency, technical teams resolved nearly 2,600 complaints on the spot. Furthermore, 550 additional water infrastructure improvement projects were completed in rural areas, deeply strengthening the rural water supply network.

The Government’s Goal: Clean Water for Every Household

Departmental reports indicate that these special campaigns, which began on April 5, have effectively mitigated a severe potential drinking water crisis. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s clear mandate is to ensure that adequate, regular, and clean drinking water reaches every village, hamlet, and urban ward during this challenging weather.
