Ride or Die Series

Two of Hollywood’s most powerhouse performers—Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer and Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham—are teaming up for a high-octane blend of action and humor. Prime Video has officially announced the release date for their highly anticipated series, ‘Ride or Die’.

Premiere Date and First Look

According to the latest update from Prime Video, ‘Ride or Die’ is scheduled to premiere on July 15, 2026. Alongside the date announcement, the streaming giant shared several “first-look” images, offering a glimpse into the dynamic chemistry between the two leads. In a move designed for binge-watching, all eight episodes of the Paramount Television Studios production will drop simultaneously.

Plot: A Friendship Tested by International Espionage

The series follows the lives of two best friends, Debbie Claybourne (Octavia Spencer) and Judith Burton (Hannah Waddingham), whose bond is put to the ultimate test.

  • The Shocking Twist: While Debbie believes she knows everything about her best friend, she discovers the hard way that Judith is actually a world-class international assassin.
  • A High-Stakes Road Trip: When a ghost from Judith’s past resurfaces and a high-profile hit goes sideways, the duo is forced to flee. What follows is a frantic, comedic, and dangerous race across Europe, with elite killers and law enforcement hot on their heels.

Cast and Creative Team

The series is created by Tessa Coates, who also serves as an executive producer alongside showrunner Matt Miller.

  • Direction: The show is helmed by Peyton Reed, best known for directing the Ant-Man trilogy.
  • Supporting Cast: The ensemble features a stellar lineup, including Bill Nighy, Ed Skrein, Sylvia Hoeks, Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, Jamie Parker, and Jacky Ido.

First announced during last year’s Amazon upfront presentation, ‘Ride or Die’ has quickly become one of the most talked-about projects of the year due to its unique pairing of Spencer’s grounded comedy and Waddingham’s sharp, commanding presence.
