Rajasthan State Junior Boxing Championship

In a proud moment for Karauli district’s sporting fraternity, local pugilists have left a significant mark at the recently concluded 7th Rajasthan State Junior Boxing Championship. Displaying sheer power and technical brilliance, Saurabh Singh Gurjar, a resident of Teshgaon in Nadauti, clinched the bronze medal in the 80 kg weight category. Following this stellar state-level performance, the district is now gearing up to groom fresh talent with a comprehensive 20-day summer training camp starting this week.

Saurabh’s Dominance: Unbeaten in First Rounds

The state-level championship, held from June 1 to June 3 at Yashodhara Marriage Garden in Dausa, witnessed fierce competition from across Rajasthan. However, Saurabh Singh Gurjar proved to be a formidable force in the ring. Showcasing an aggressive yet strategic fighting style, he dominated his opponents by winning all three of his bouts in the very first round, rightfully securing his place on the podium.

Alongside Saurabh, other promising boxers from Karauli also displayed exceptional grit. Competing in their respective weight categories, Daksh Chandrawat, Anuj Tiwari, Mayank Saini, and Vedant Muni fought their way to the pre-quarterfinals, proving their mettle against seasoned fighters. The team’s impressive run was heavily supported by the tactical guidance of Team Manager Bobby Singh Rajawat, Gulshan Rajput, and Technical Official Dara Singh Meena.
