On Monday, a sudden wildfire broke out near the hill adjacent to the famous Soneshwar Balaji Temple in the Nadoti sub-division of Karauli district, Rajasthan. The flames spread rapidly, reaching the foothills and burning a large area—nearly 200 meters—of forest land, leaving hundreds of trees and plants reduced to ashes.

Upon receiving the information, Naib Tehsildar Amar Singh Meena and village representative Dharmendra Singh Guda rushed to the spot and immediately informed the Nadoti SDM, requesting fire brigade assistance. The forest department was already trying to control the blaze, but strong winds made firefighting efforts challenging.

A fire engine from Hindon City Municipality was dispatched to the location. With combined efforts from firefighters, forest officials, and local villagers, the fire was finally brought under control after a strenuous operation.

This incident has caused significant environmental damage. The destruction of flora is expected to have a lasting impact on the local ecosystem, and its recovery may take time. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Eyewitnesses reported that a large crowd had gathered at the scene during the incident.
