Census 2027: Karauli District Collector Leads Self-Enumeration Drive; Citizens Urged to Complete Online Registration by May 15

Karauli: In a significant step toward modernizing the national census process, the first phase of Census 2027 has officially commenced in Karauli with a focus on digital self-enumeration. District Collector and Principal Census Officer, Akshay Godara, inaugurated the campaign by registering his family’s details on the official online portal, marking a shift toward a more streamlined and tech-driven data collection process.
Digital Census: A Move Towards Accuracy and Ease
While launching the drive, District Collector Akshay Godara emphasized that self-enumeration is a crucial step in making the census process more convenient and accurate in the digital age. He informed that from May 1st to May 15th, any citizen of the district can visit the official portal at https://se.census.gov.in to share their information directly.
“The digital format reduces the margin of error and allows citizens to contribute to this national task from the comfort of their homes,” Godara stated.
Administration Leads by Example
Following the Collector’s lead, several district-level officers also completed their self-enumeration on the portal. To ensure maximum participation, the Collector has issued directives to all department heads to ensure that every government employee and their family members complete their self-enumeration within the stipulated timeframe.
The administration believes that active participation from the government workforce will serve as a powerful inspiration for the general public to follow suit.

Addressing the residents of Karauli, the District Collector highlighted that the data collected during the census forms the bedrock for future welfare schemes, infrastructure planning, and the vision of a ‘Developed Rajasthan.’
He reassured citizens that:
- All information shared on the portal is completely secure and confidential.
- The data is used solely for developmental planning and national statistics.
- Citizens should join the mission with the resolve of “Our Census, Our Development.”
The event saw the presence of various senior officials, including Joint Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, Gangasahay Meena, among other district-level staff.
