Jaipur: Rajasthan holds a rich, centuries-old legacy of philanthropy and community service. Keeping this noble tradition alive, the state is gearing up to felicitate extraordinary donors who have fundamentally transformed the infrastructure of government schools. The Education Department of Rajasthan is set to host the much-anticipated ’30th State-Level Bhamashah Award Ceremony’ on June 29, 2026, at the Birla Auditorium in Jaipur.

This year’s ceremony marks a monumental milestone, as generous benefactors have collectively contributed a staggering ₹318 crore towards the strengthening of the state’s educational ecosystem. During this grand event, 154 ‘Bhamashahs’ (philanthropists) and 97 ‘Preraks’ (motivators) will be officially recognized and honored by the state government.

Transparent Selection via ‘Gyan Sankalp Portal’

Sitaram Jat, the Director of Elementary Education, elaborated on the initiative, stating that the awards are dedicated to individuals and organizations that have provided crucial support for the construction of school buildings, additional classrooms, land donations, and other essential physical resources.

To ensure absolute transparency, applications were invited online through the government’s official ‘Gyan Sankalp Portal.’ The final list of awardees was meticulously curated based on stringent eligibility criteria.

Categories of State-Level Honors

The state-level ceremony will classify the awards into distinct categories based on the magnitude of the financial contributions:

Shiksha Vibhushan (49 Donors): This prestigious title will be conferred upon 49 exceptional philanthropists who have made massive contributions of ₹1 crore or more towards the education sector.

Shiksha Bhushan (105 Donors): This honor will be awarded to 105 donors whose financial support ranges between ₹30 lakh and ₹1 crore.

Prerak Samman (97 Motivators): Acknowledging the power of persuasion, the government will also honor 97 motivators who played a pivotal role in inspiring individuals to donate ₹50 lakh or more for school development.

A Legacy of Giving: 1995 to Present

The numbers reflect a massive wave of public participation in education. According to the Director of Education, the Bhamashah Awards initiative was first introduced in 1995. Up until the 29th edition of the ceremony, a total of 2,331 philanthropists had been honored for their historic cumulative contribution of ₹1,155.48 crore. In the 2025-26 academic session alone, the department witnessed an unprecedented influx of ₹318 crore.

District-Level Celebrations Across the State

June 29 will not only be celebrated in the capital but across the entire state. Simultaneous ‘District-Level Bhamashah Award Ceremonies’ will be held in all districts of Rajasthan. These local events will honor donors who have contributed amounts ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹29,99,999. Additionally, motivators who successfully inspired donations between ₹5 lakh and ₹49,99,999 will also be felicitated locally to boost community morale.

Udaipur, June 12, 2026: For rural citizens accustomed to making endless rounds of government offices, the Rajasthan government’s latest outreach initiative has emerged as a beacon of hope. The ‘Gramin Seva Shivir-2026‘ (Rural Service Camp) kicked off in the Udaipur district, proving on its very first day that when a sensitive administration reaches the village square, decades-old grievances can be resolved in minutes. The inaugural day witnessed an overwhelming response, bringing smiles to the faces of farmers and the elderly who received immediate benefits from various state schemes.

Financial Lifeline for Farmer: ₹1.25 Lakh Subsidy Approved Instantly

Modern agriculture heavily relies on mechanized equipment, but financial constraints often hold small farmers back. Shankarlal, a farmer from Ladani village in the Mavli block, was struggling to purchase essential farming machinery. The rural camp held in Mavli proved to be a turning point for him.

Prompt Action: Assistant Agriculture Officer Parasram Jat, present at the camp, identified Shankarlal’s plight and detailed the state’s subsidy schemes for equipment like the multi-crop thresher.

On-the-Spot Cheque: Paperwork was expedited immediately. In the presence of ADM City Jitendra Ojha and Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Ramesh Sirvi Punadiya, Shankarlal was handed a subsidy cheque worth ₹1,25,000.

Overjoyed by this instant financial support, Shankarlal expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.

Tech Hurdle Cleared: Stalled Pensions Restored via OTP

For the elderly women of Chandwas Gram Panchayat, the camp served as a crucial lifeline.

Senior citizens Harku, Rajudi, and Savli had not received their social security pensions for several months. Their disbursements were halted due to repeated biometric and face-recognition verification failures.

Understanding the urgency, the Block Development Officer (BDO) immediately directed the technical team to intervene. Bypassing the faulty biometrics, the team utilized an OTP-based verification process. Within minutes, the verification was successful, and their stalled pensions were restored.

Additionally, Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) were handed over on the spot to other local women, including Rama, Varki, and Keshari.

Red Tape Slashed: Land Records Corrected and Certificates Issued

Beyond financial aid, the camp efficiently handled routine administrative bottlenecks:

Marriage Registration: Udaylal, a resident of Chandwas, had his paperwork processed rapidly and was issued his marriage registration certificate directly at the camp.

Revenue Map Correction: During the camp at Chirwa Gram Panchayat, Rajesh (son of the late Narayanlal Menaria) applied for a correction in his land maps (Naksha Shuddhikaran). Taking swift cognizance, SDO Mansukh Damor and Naib Tehsildar Ramesh Kumar Rajpurohit ordered immediate rectifications in the revenue records, providing immense relief to the landowner.

A Testament to ‘Good Governance’

The atmosphere at the camps was electric, with villagers thrilled to see pension restorations, PPO distributions, land record corrections, and massive subsidies happening under a single roof. Beneficiaries praised the administration’s proactive approach, noting that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s vision of bringing governance to the doorsteps of the common man is translating into tangible, on-ground reality.

Masalpur (Karauli): Childhood is meant for classrooms and playgrounds, yet thousands of children are silently pushed into the grueling worlds of child labor or early marriage. In a decisive move to break these social chains, a massive administrative intervention has been initiated in the Masalpur block of Rajasthan’s Karauli district.

Coinciding with the ‘World Day Against Child Labour’, the local administration has sounded the bugle for a comprehensive ‘Back to School’ campaign. This ambitious drive, jointly spearheaded by the District Administration and the ActionAid Association-DMG Events under the ‘Child Marriage Prevention and Eradication Project‘, aims to identify and re-enroll out-of-school children, particularly young girls. The launch event was chaired by Block Development Officer (BDO) Mohanlal Sharma at the Masalpur Panchayat Samiti hall.

The Alarming Ground Reality: 595 Girls at Risk of Child Marriage

This campaign is not based on mere estimates but is driven by a meticulous ‘Vulnerability Mapping’ report prepared from ground-zero surveys. The staggering data presented during the launch highlights the urgent need for intervention:

Survey Scope: The mapping covered 30 villages across the Masalpur block.

Families Reached: A total of 5,063 households were surveyed.

Vulnerable Households: Out of these, 3,074 families were found to be living under severe social and economic risks.

The Critical Crisis: The survey identified 677 girls who have dropped out of school and 595 girls who are currently at a high risk of being pushed into child marriage.

Based on these stark realities, the administration has formulated a targeted intervention strategy to protect these children.

The ‘Back to School’ Masterplan

Dinesh Kumar Bairwa, the District Coordinator for ActionAid Association, outlined the campaign’s roadmap. He announced that this intensive drive will run simultaneously in the Masalpur and Sapotra blocks until July 12, 2026.

The primary objective is to eradicate child marriage and labor through aggressive community sensitization. At the village and ward levels, the teams will conduct awareness rallies, hold community meetings (Jan Samvad), initiate door-to-door dialogues with parents, and actively facilitate the school re-enrollment of identified dropout children.

A United Administrative Front for Child Rights

Addressing the gathering, BDO Mohanlal Sharma stated that child labor and child marriage are direct violations of fundamental human rights, crippling a child’s physical, mental, and social growth. He urged all public representatives, government departments, and citizens to actively participate in bringing these children back to the mainstream education system.

Various departmental representatives detailed their specific roles in this mission:

Education Department: RP Ravindra Rawat explained the strategies being deployed to ensure the re-enrollment and continuous attendance of the identified dropout children.

Women & Child Development (WCD): Antima Sharma shed light on pre-primary education, health, and nutritional schemes designed for the holistic development of young girls.

Law Enforcement: Child Welfare Police Officer Gajraj Singh (Masalpur Police Station) assured strict enforcement of child protection laws and robust police backing for the campaign.

Legal Aid & Helplines: Radharaman Saraswat, PLV of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), shared details about the NALSA helpline (15100). Additionally, Childline 1098 in-charge Bhikam Singh educated the attendees about the rescue, rehabilitation, and immediate assistance mechanisms available for children in distress.

The event also saw active participation from Shailendra Singh (District President, Village Development Officers Union), who emphasized the crucial role of local Panchayats. ActionAid’s community trainer Jagdish Jat, block coordinator Gaurav Kumari, and volunteer Ramraj Gurjar, along with numerous social workers, took a collective pledge to ensure that every child’s right to a safe childhood and quality education is protected.

Disclaimer: This news report is based on the vulnerability mapping data, official statements, and information shared by the District Administration and ActionAid Association during the event.
The Assam government has formally urged the Centre to adopt the principle of geographic equity in public investments for the Northeastern region. During an interactive meeting between NITI Aayog officials and regional leadership, state representatives highlighted that the growth of landlocked states must be evaluated beyond just expenditure efficiency.

Officials emphasized that Assam faces heavy structural and logistical disadvantages compared to coastal states. While coastal regions benefit from maritime ports and shorter supply chains, the Northeast remains heavily dependent on a narrow transport corridor. This critical geographic limitation leads to significantly higher infrastructure development costs and inflated freight expenses across the area.

To overcome these natural barriers, the state administration argued that public investment must be strategically distributed to counterbalance regional isolation. Prioritizing geographic equity will serve as a vital mechanism to ensure highly competitive national integration and drive future economic growth.

The government further reiterated that as India moves toward long term developmental goals, national progress should be measured not only across population demographics but also across complex terrains. Ensuring robust financial and infrastructural support will help transform the Northeast into a vibrant gateway economy capable of bridging India with wider Asian markets.

Security forces in Upper Assam have launched an aggressive crackdown on local crime rings and illegal operations. In a major breakthrough, Sivasagar police successfully busted an alleged arms trafficking network. A coordinated operation led to the arrest of four individuals suspected of smuggling weapons across the region. Law enforcement authorities recovered incriminating materials from their possession and are currently investigating their broader operational links.

Simultaneously, a high profile extortion attempt was thwarted in Dibrugarh district. Duliajan police detained two local youth leaders belonging to the Tai Ahom Yuba Parishad. The accused, identified as Ranjit Bora and Prahlad Gogoi, allegedly tried to extort a substantial amount of money from a private contracting firm engaged by Oil India Limited. Following a formal complaint from the contractor, police acted swiftly to arrest the duo. Both individuals are undergoing intense interrogation as investigators trace whether they are linked to other oil sector extortion rackets in the region.

Local authorities emphasized that these back to back operations reflect a zero tolerance policy toward extortion and illegal arms distribution.
Karauli: To showcase a decade-plus journey of nationwide progress and policy transformations, a grand three-day ‘Development Exhibition’ was officially inaugurated at the Town Hall of the Information Centre in Karauli. Organized to commemorate the successful completion of 12 years of the Central Government, the event was formally opened on Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by local MLA Darshan Singh Gurjar.

The exhibition serves as a visual bridge between the government and the public, aiming to spread widespread awareness about various public welfare schemes, flagship programs, and the infrastructural milestones achieved by both the central and state governments.

“Welfare Schemes Reaching the Last Person in Line”

Addressing the gathering during the inauguration, MLA Darshan Singh Gurjar highlighted the synchronized efforts of the current leadership. He stated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the center and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma in Rajasthan, development is scaling new heights every day.

The MLA emphasized the government’s core philosophy of ‘Antyodaya’, assuring that the administration remains highly committed to ensuring the benefits of welfare schemes reach the most marginalized individuals—the last person standing in the line. The exhibition vividly captures these 12 years of central achievements through detailed pictorial representations, while also highlighting the milestones that have placed Rajasthan at the forefront on a national level.

“12 Years of Trust, Development, and Public Welfare”

The event is being overseen by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR). Assistant Director Dharmendra Kumar Meena shared that the core theme of the exhibition is “12 saal vishwas ke, vikas ke, jankalyan ke” (12 Years of Trust, Development, and Public Welfare).

He noted that the local populace is showing immense enthusiasm and actively participating in the event. Through creative displays, the exhibition offers a deep dive into revolutionary changes across critical sectors, including:

Rural Development & Infrastructure

Women’s Empowerment & Safety

Farmer Welfare & Agricultural Policies

Youth Employment & Skill Development

Health, Education, and Water Conservation

Meena appealed to the citizens of Karauli district to visit the Town Hall in large numbers over the next three days to maximize their understanding of these beneficial schemes.

Prominent Dignitaries in Attendance

The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of several key administrative and departmental figures, reinforcing the event’s significance. Prominent attendees included Additional District Collector Hemraj Paridwal, public representative Govardhan Singh, Industries Department General Manager Ganesh Sharma, Animal Husbandry Joint Director Dr. Gangasahai Meena, Ayurveda Department Deputy Director Kaduram Meena, and PMO Dr. Ramkesh Meena. Enthusiastic volunteers from the Scout and Guide also contributed to the successful management of the event.

Gangapur City: The transition into college life and the lengthy paperwork of the admission process can often be a daunting experience for new students. To ease the burden of technical and practical formalities, particularly document verification, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) took a highly commendable step at the Government College in Gangapur City, Rajasthan.

Aiming to pave a smoother path for incoming freshers, the local ABVP unit organized a special ‘Help Desk’ camp on the college campus.

Seamless Guidance During Document Verification

The primary objective of this assistance camp was to simplify the form-filling and document-checking procedures for newly enrolled students. Often, freshers face confusion and anxiety due to a lack of accurate information regarding official requirements.

During the camp, ABVP volunteers meticulously examined the students’ documents one by one, guided them through the correct procedural steps, and resolved various technical glitches on the spot. This proactive guidance provided massive relief to hundreds of students waiting in long admission queues.

Campaign Led by Key Office Bearers

This student assistance camp was organized under the efficient leadership of ABVP District Convener Abhishek Sonwal. Throughout the day, several prominent office bearers and active members of the organization stood at the forefront to extend their support to the youth.

Key members present at the camp included:

Payal Prajapat: District Girl Student Head

Manoj Saini: State Executive Member

Gaurav Shakya: Division Convener

Sumit Verma and Riya Agarwal: Active workers and other unit members.

Initiative Applauded by Students and Parents

The noble service and positive initiative undertaken by the ABVP received immense appreciation from the newly admitted students as well as their parents. Guardians present at the venue highlighted that such help desks are particularly beneficial for students traveling from far-flung rural areas, as they save valuable time, prevent multiple trips to the college, and significantly reduce mental stress during the admission rush.

It has been published for public awareness and to assist the student community. Our objective is to deliver accurate, factual, and unbiased information to our readers.

Karauli: The essential workers who protect the city from fire emergencies and keep its streets clean are now struggling to feed their own families. Driven to desperation by the non-payment of their salaries for up to nine months, contract workers in Rajasthan’s Karauli district have officially gone on strike.

Fire brigade personnel, sanitation vehicle drivers, and night shelter (Rain Basera) caretakers organized a massive protest march, walking from the Karauli Fire Station directly to the District Collectorate. Handing over a detailed memorandum to the administration, the agitating workers demanded immediate intervention to clear their long-pending dues from various contractors.

Severe Financial Crisis Hits Essential Workers

The prolonged delay in salary disbursement has pushed these frontline workers to the brink of a severe financial crisis. Workers expressed their deep frustration, stating that despite performing their duties with complete dedication, the sheer negligence of the contractors has forced them to borrow money just to survive. Left with no other option to sustain their livelihoods, they were compelled to launch a mass protest.

Contractors Named in the Memorandum

The official memorandum submitted at the Collectorate explicitly details the outstanding wages withheld by specific agencies:

Bhagat Contractor (Karauli): Pending salary for 4 months (up to October 2024).

M/s Bharatiya Gramin Vikas Seva Sansthan (Dholpur): Pending salary for 2 months (January and February 2026).

M/s Chaudhary Construction & Suppliers (Dausa): Pending salary for 3 months.

Impact of the Strike: Sanitation System Collapses

The mass strike by field staff and sanitation drivers has brought Karauli’s waste management system to a grinding halt. Massive piles of unattended garbage have accumulated across various wards and residential colonies. The rotting waste is emitting a foul stench, making it difficult for local residents to step out of their homes and raising fears of a potential disease outbreak.

The protesting workers have issued a stern warning to the administration: if their pending salaries are not credited immediately, they will escalate their agitation, holding the local administration and the contractors entirely responsible for the deteriorating conditions in the city.

Disclaimer: This news report is based on the official memorandum submitted by the protesting employees and initial ground reports. Claims regarding the exact duration and amount of unpaid dues by specific contractors are subject to official administrative verification and departmental inquiry. This article is published solely for informational purposes and public awareness.

Hindaun City (Karauli): In a glaring display of deteriorating law and order, fearless miscreants orchestrated a life-threatening attack in Rajasthan’s Hindaun City late Thursday night. Hariom Thekedar, the Youth President of the District Jatav Samaj Sudhar Samiti (Karauli-Sawai Madhopur-Dausa, representing 360 villages), narrowly escaped death when armed assailants opened fire on him. The bullet pierced right through his left arm, saving him by a hair’s breadth.

This audacious shootout is not an isolated incident but the third consecutive attack on the 45-year-old community leader in the last two months, raising severe questions about the effectiveness of the local police administration and the safety of citizens.

Ambushed in the Dark: Bullet Pierces Through the Arm

According to the official written complaint submitted to the Kotwali Police Station, Hindaun City, the terrifying ordeal took place on the night of June 11, 2026, at approximately 10:30 PM.

Hariom Thekedar was riding his motorcycle from his residence in Anand Vihar towards Kanjolipura. As he approached the road opposite the cremation ground near Khereta Mod, two assailants lay in wait. One was standing on the road while the other had a motorcycle started and ready. The moment Hariom came within a 10-meter range, they fired. The second bullet struck him, passing clean through the flesh just above his left elbow.

Turned Away by Private Hospital

Bleeding profusely, the injured leader rushed to a nearby private facility, ‘Sai Hospital’. However, citing the medico-legal nature of the bullet injury, the hospital administration refused to provide even primary first aid. He was subsequently rushed to the emergency ward of the Government District Hospital in Hindaun City, where he underwent overnight treatment.

A Chronology of Terror: Third Strike on the Family

The victim asserts that a well-planned conspiracy is being executed to eliminate him. The police complaint highlights a chilling timeline of previous attacks on his life and property:

April 20, 2026: Assailants fired shots at him with the intent to kill. An FIR (No. 0179) regarding this incident is already registered at the Mahwa Police Station.

Suspects Named and Community Outrage

In his latest complaint, Hariom Thekedar has explicitly raised suspicions against two individuals: Tarachand (a resident of Anand Vihar) and a liquor contractor named Seemendra Beniwal.

The consecutive attacks have sparked massive outrage among the Jatav community and local residents. Community leaders have strongly condemned the police’s failure to act decisively after the previous shootout and stone-pelting incidents. Fearing for the safety of his 70-year-old mother and children, the victim has demanded a completely unbiased investigation, immediate scanning of area CCTV footage, the prompt arrest of the conspirators, and robust police protection.

The local police have registered the case and launched an intensive manhunt to track down the shooters.

Disclaimer: This news report is based entirely on the primary complaints (FIR applications) submitted by the victim to the local police and initial ground reports.
Jaipur: Are you being targeted by online advertisements promising a daily return of ₹5,000 on an investment of just ₹10,000? If so, you need to exercise extreme caution. Cybercriminals have upgraded their arsenals, leveraging advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deepfakes to execute massive financial frauds.

Recognizing the alarming surge in these high-tech scams, the Cyber Crime Branch of the Rajasthan Police has issued a comprehensive advisory. Authorities have strongly warned citizens against investing their hard-earned money in unverified online platforms driven by the lure of quick profits.

The Dangerous Game of Celebrity Deepfakes

Additional Director General of Police (Cyber Crime), Shri V.K. Singh, revealed that scammers are increasingly misusing deepfake technology to clone the voices and faces of prominent figures. Cybercriminals are circulating highly convincing fake videos featuring Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, renowned business tycoons, and leading stock market investors. In these deceptive clips, the “celebrities” are seen endorsing specific trading apps and guaranteeing massive returns within days—claims that are entirely fabricated.

Modus Operandi: How the Trap is Set

The cyber fraud syndicate operates through a well-organized, step-by-step psychological trap:

Bait via Social Media: Fraudsters run highly attractive stock market and trading ads on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Telegram.

Entry into Fake Groups: Once a user clicks the ad, they are unwittingly added to WhatsApp or Telegram groups bearing professional-sounding names like “Elite Investment Group” or “Super Trading Club.”

Bots and Fake Proofs: The majority of members in these groups are not real investors but automated bots or fake accounts operated by the scammers. They constantly share fabricated screenshots of “millions in profits” to build trust.

Malicious App Downloads: After gaining the victim’s confidence, scammers convince them to download a fake trading app via a third-party APK file or unverified link.

The Withdrawal Trap: Initially, the app’s dashboard displays the victim’s deposited amount and massive fake profits. However, when the investor attempts to withdraw their money, the scammers demand extra payments under the guise of “taxes, commissions, or processing fees.” Once the extra money is paid, the scammers disappear.

Rajasthan Police’s Crucial Safety Guidelines
