In a significant step towards ensuring dignity, safety, and hygiene for women, Union Minister of Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, along with Rajasthan’s Minister of State for Forest, Sanjay Sharma, inaugurated two new ‘Pink Toilets’ and a public convenience facility in Alwar city on Sunday, June 21. Built under the Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 (Urban) at an estimated cost of ₹76.55 lakh, the facilities were uniquely inaugurated by local women, sending a strong message of women’s empowerment. The ministers also planted saplings during the event to promote environmental conservation.

Women’s Dignity and Safety is Our Priority: Bhupender Yadav Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav stated that the all-round development of the Alwar parliamentary constituency remains his top priority. He emphasized that the government is fully committed to providing basic civic amenities alongside advancing infrastructure in roads, railways, education, and healthcare.

Yadav highlighted that access to clean and safe public restrooms is a fundamental necessity for women stepping out of their homes. He stated that the construction of these ‘Pink Toilets’ will not only provide a convenient environment but also ensure the safety and dignity of women and young girls. He further appealed to the residents, reminding them that keeping Alwar clean and beautiful is a collective moral responsibility.

Mission to Make Alwar a Leader in Cleanliness Speaking on the occasion, State Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma noted that under the joint leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, Alwar is scaling new heights of development. He mentioned that a special campaign has been launched for the beautification and development of the city, and its positive results are already visible on the ground.

Minister Sharma urged the public for their active participation, announcing that the government’s next target is to secure a spot for Alwar in the Top-10 cleanest cities of India in the national cleanliness survey. He stressed that achieving this milestone is impossible without public cooperation, urging every citizen to actively join the cleanliness drive.
