ALWAR | June 14, 2026 — Marking 12 years of the Central Government’s governance, Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena, Rajasthan’s Agriculture and Horticulture Minister and District In-charge, visited a mega-exhibition in Alwar today. The event, themed “12 Years of Trust, Development, and Public Welfare,” served as a platform to highlight the sweeping socio-economic changes brought about by the combined efforts of the State and Central governments.

Key Highlights of the Event

  • A Decade of Impact: Celebration of 12 years of the Modi administration, focusing on the “GYAN” model (Gareeb, Yuva, Annadata, Nari).
  • Infrastructure Milestone: Major updates on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the upcoming Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) for Alwar.
  • Water Security: Progress on the Ramjal Setu (ERCP) project, set to benefit 17 districts including Alwar.
  • Social Welfare: Recognition of 25 crore citizens rising above multi-dimensional poverty and 60 crore people receiving health coverage.

Empowering the ‘GYAN’ Pillars

During a press briefing at the New Information Center, Dr. Meena elaborated on the “GYAN” empowerment model—focusing on the Poor, Youth, Farmers, and Women. He noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, over 4 crore permanent houses have been constructed, and 81 crore citizens continue to receive free monthly rations.

The Minister emphasized the efficiency of the Digital Bharat mission, stating that 56% of the world’s digital transactions now occur in India. He also highlighted that ₹51 lakh crore has been transferred directly to beneficiaries’ accounts via DBT, ensuring “zero leakage” in the system.

Local Boom: Connectivity and Healthcare in Alwar

Dr. Meena provided a deep dive into projects specifically targeting Alwar’s growth:

  1. Connectivity: The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has already revolutionized local travel. The RRTS project will further link Alwar to Delhi, Neemrana, and Khairthal.
  2. Water Solutions: The ₹3,446 crore Ramjal Setu project will connect the Isarda Dam to Jaysamand Dam, solving long-standing drinking water issues.
  3. Urban Development: Plans are underway for a massive Biological Park near Alwar city, an Oxygen Hub (Green Lungs), and a new Dairy Plant with a 5-lakh-liter capacity.
  4. Healthcare & Education: An 86-crore upgrade for the Rajiv Gandhi Govt General Hospital is in progress, alongside the establishment of a Girls’ Polytechnic and a Sainik School.

Cultural Resonance

The event wasn’t just about numbers; it celebrated local heritage. Padma Shri Gafuruddin Khan Mewati and his troupe captivated the audience with a Bhapang performance, using traditional folk music to narrate the success stories of various government schemes.
