Jaipur: Sending a stern warning to corrupt and negligent officials, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has launched a massive administrative crackdown across the state. Under a strict ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy, the state government has made it unequivocally clear that corruption will not be tolerated at any level of administration. In a bid to provide a transparent, sensitive, and corruption-free government to the public, several major disciplinary actions have been executed recently.

First India

Key Highlights of the Crackdown

The government’s rapid actions have severely impacted numerous high-ranking officials:

Suspensions: A total of 103 officers, including 1 IAS officer, have been suspended from their duties.

Dismissals: 6 officers have been permanently dismissed from service after being proven guilty in a court of law.

Pensions Halted: The lifelong pension (100%) of 11 officials involved in corruption has been completely stopped.

Prosecution Approvals: Sanctions for prosecution have been granted in 108 cases involving bribery, traps, misuse of power, and disproportionate assets.

Additional Actions: Strict measures have been taken in 37 other cases under Section 17-A of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Immediate Dismissal Upon Court Conviction

Officer’s Name

Post and Department

Bharat Prakash Meghwal

Former Development Officer (Suwana, Bhilwara), PWD

Rajesh Kumar Nainawat

Former Deputy Director of Agriculture (Jhunjhunu)

Mahavir Singh Asiwal

Former Assistant Commissioner (Finance Tax), Bharatpur

Dr. Ram Mohan Singh Chauhan

Medical Officer (CHC Bichhiwara, Dungarpur)

Dr. Murlidhar Sharma

Medical Officer (CHC Ramgarh Pachwara, Dausa)

Dr. Manohar Lal

Medical Officer (CHC Ramgarh, Alwar)

Zero Tolerance on Public Health Negligence

The Chief Minister recently took severe action in a critical case concerning public health. Pradeep Kumar Hajarti, a Senior Chemist at the PHED Alwar laboratory, was immediately dismissed from service for preparing fake quality test reports for drinking water samples.

Similarly, Hari Singh Meena, a former APP at ACJM-4 (Kota), was removed from service following a sentence pronounced by the ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) court.

Lifelong Pensions Stopped for 11 Officers

Setting a strict precedent for those who misuse public funds, the state government has imposed a 100% ban on the lifelong pensions of 11 penalized officials. Prominent names include:

KARAULI (RAJASTHAN): To accelerate infrastructure development and ensure the durability of public assets, District Collector Akshay Godara conducted a surprise inspection of the Kaila Devi Bypass and the Karsai-Barriya road on Thursday. During the visit, the Collector scrutinized the progress of the ongoing construction and evaluated the quality of materials being used.

No Compromise on Quality: District Collector

During the inspection, the District Collector made it clear that public funds must be utilized with total transparency and excellence. He issued direct instructions to the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD), Devendra Kumar Gupta, to ensure that the Cement Concrete (CC) road work meets the highest technical standards.

District Collector Akshay Godara stated:

“Roads are being constructed for the convenience of the general public. Any negligence or compromise in the quality of construction will not be tolerated. Ensure that the work is completed within the stipulated time frame while strictly adhering to all technical specifications.”

Coordination and Pending Proposals

Addressing the hurdles encountered during the road construction process, the Collector directed officials to establish better coordination with the Forest Department and local residents. He instructed that any technical or land-related obstacles should be resolved promptly, and new proposals should be prepared and uploaded to the official portal immediately to prevent any further delays in development.

Focus on Seamless Connectivity

Given the high volume of pilgrims and travelers in the Kaila Devi Bypass area, the completion of this road is considered vital for the region’s economy and connectivity. The Collector urged the PWD officials to expedite the work and strictly follow engineering benchmarks to prevent future issues such as road depression or premature damage.

The administration’s proactive oversight is expected to provide residents and devotees in the Kaila Devi and Karsai regions with much-needed relief from dust and potholes, ensuring a smooth and safe commuting experience.

Jaipur, Rajasthan – On Thursday, the first day of the New Year, the Saras Rajsakhi National Fair 2025 was abuzz with excitement, enthusiasm, and joy. From the very first morning of the year, the fair was bustling with visitors, and the atmosphere was vibrant. The colorful stalls, the aroma of handicrafts, traditional music, and the hustle and bustle of people transformed the fair into a vibrant celebration.

Jai Shiv Shankar SHG of Bharatpur has achieved the highest sales so far. SHG Didi Neelam said that customers are very fond of their jute products. Dinuwani SHG of Barmer ranked second in sales, and their embroidered products are attracting everyone.

Jogmaya SHG of Barmer is also achieving record sales, with their Ajrak print fabrics becoming very popular. Group member Gangadevi expressed her gratitude to Rajivika’s platform for this.

Among the food stalls, the Radhaswami SHG from Jaipur has the highest sales, with their Pav Bhaji being a huge hit. The Saraswati SHG from Sawai Madhopur’s dishes are also a popular choice, ranking second in sales.

The smiles on the faces of the women associated with these groups are proof that this fair is not just a marketplace for them, but a platform to fulfill their dreams. The SHG sisters reported that their products are receiving overwhelming appreciation from customers.

Customers are returning to many stalls to make repeat purchases, leading to not only better sales for their products but also national recognition. One SHG sister emotionally shared that with Rajivika’s support, she has become self-reliant. The Saras Mela has provided her with a powerful means of livelihood, a platform for her art, and played a crucial role in her economic empowerment.

She said, “Seeing the appreciation and trust of the people here has boosted my confidence exponentially. Previously, we were limited to our village, but now our products are reaching the entire country.

She particularly enjoyed the stylish bags, purses, winter wear, and silk stoles. Naresh, also from Jaipur, visited the fair with his family. He said his children enjoyed the food court and live classes so much that they had come for the third time.

Many visitors said the cultural evening programs were so captivating that they were returning to the fair again and again. Not only local tourists, but also foreign tourists and visitors from other cities who visited Jaipur thoroughly enjoyed the fair.

Ankit, a young man from Delhi, said he came to the fair with his family and was delighted with the textile stalls. He shopped extensively and said that such events should continue in the future, as they offer a unique experience of the culture, art, and flavors of India in one place.
