Jaipur, June 2, 2026:

The Crime Branch (CID) of the Rajasthan Police has announced a cash reward for a specialized police team that successfully resolved a highly sensitive kidnapping case originally registered in 2016. According to an official order issued by the Additional Director General of Police, CID (Crime) Rajasthan, Shri Bipin Kumar Pandey, a total reward amount of ₹25,000 will be distributed among the key police officers and investigators involved in the breakthrough.

Resolving long-pending cold cases is an ongoing priority for the state administration to reinforce public trust in the law enforcement framework and demonstrate long-term institutional accountability.

The Breakthrough and Key Personnel Honored

As per the administrative order, four dedicated personnel from the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) and the Office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Dausa will be rewarded with an equal cash incentive of ₹6,250 each for their exemplary coordination and investigation techniques.

The personnel selected for this state-level commendation include:

Shri Deepak Kumar: Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and In-charge of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), Dausa.

Shri Naveen Kumar: Head Constable, ST-SC Cell.

Shri Laxmikant: Head Constable, Office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

Shri Bhagwan Sahay: Constable, ST-SC Cell.

Case Background: FIR 145/2016

The reward traces back to a criminal case registered a decade ago at the Sadar Police Station in Dausa district under FIR No. 145/2016. The case was filed under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to kidnapping or abducting with intent to secretly and wrongfully confine a person.

The investigation centered around a missing young man, Shri Suresh Meena, son of Shri Rampratap Meena, a resident of Shahjanpur (Village and Post Rahuwas, under the Ramgarh Pachwara Police Station jurisdiction in Dausa district). Through persistent tracking, localized intelligence gathering, and dedicated efforts, the commended police unit successfully traced and safely recovered (dastayab) the youth, bringing a long-standing investigation to a successful close.

Recognizing such meticulous investigative work through financial incentives and official citations not only boosts the morale of the local police force but also encourages a proactive approach toward clearing unresolved systemic grievances.

Jaipur: Rajasthan is rapidly transforming into a highly preferred destination for both global and domestic investors. With a significant push toward improving the ‘Ease of Doing Business,’ the state government’s ‘De-regulation Phase-1’ initiative is yielding highly positive outcomes. The vision of a ‘Viksit Rajasthan‘ (Developed Rajasthan) and ‘Rising Rajasthan’ is now visibly materializing on the ground.

The ‘Deregulation Cell,’ constituted under the Chief Secretary’s office, recently released its monthly progress report for April. The data stands as a strong testament to the state’s growing investment influx and enhanced administrative efficiency.

Massive Surge on the Raj Nivesh Portal According to the official report, a total of 9,010 investment applications were received on the ‘Raj Nivesh Portal’—a dedicated digital platform for investor convenience—during the month of April. Demonstrating swift administrative action, the government successfully processed and approved 6,103 of these applications. This brings the state’s overall approval rate to an impressive 67.7 percent, marking a major milestone in industrial governance.

Jaipur Leads the Pack; Kota and Hanumangarh Excel in Efficiency In terms of both the volume of applications and the number of approvals, the capital city of Jaipur secured the top spot. Jaipur alone received 1,932 applications, out of which 1,351 were successfully greenlit.

When it comes to ‘Disposal Efficiency,’ Kota and Hanumangarh showcased outstanding performance. Kota achieved a rapid approval rate of 83.8 percent, while Hanumangarh followed closely with 82.5 percent. Furthermore, districts such as Baran, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Tonk, Udaipur, and Jalore also recorded an approval rate exceeding 70 percent. Major industrial hubs like Jodhpur, Sikar, Ajmer, Bikaner, Alwar, and Churu actively contributed to this investment drive.

Growing Investor Interest in Emerging Sectors Investors are no longer restricting themselves to traditional industries. A diverse range of investments is now pouring into emerging sectors across the state:

New Growth Areas: Entrepreneurs have shown deep interest in establishing ventures in AYUSH, Agro-processing, Defense, and Education.

Tourism & Hospitality: This sector recorded the highest proposed investment, with major proposals directed toward Jaipur, Udaipur, Pali, Rajsamand, and Sikar districts.

Engineering and Renewable Energy: The engineering sector is thriving in Alwar and Kotputli-Behror, while applications for renewable energy projects are surfacing uniformly across the state.

Waste Management and Textiles: Significant investor interest was also observed in Waste Management (Ajmer and Bhilwara) and the Textile industry (Jodhpur).

Chief Secretary Attributes Success to an Investor-Friendly Approach Expressing his satisfaction with this rapid progress, State Chief Secretary Mr. V. Srinivas stated that the government is continuously emphasizing the simplification of procedures and the time-bound disposal of applications. He noted that an ‘investor-friendly approach,’ seamless inter-departmental coordination, and decentralized execution are the primary reasons why investment proposals are being cleared so quickly, benefiting not just major cities but smaller districts as well.

The third convocation ceremony of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, Jaipur, was held on Wednesday in a highly dignified atmosphere. During the event, Governor Shri Haribhau Bagde, Union Minister of Law and Justice (Independent Charge) Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa awarded medals and degrees to meritorious students.

Key Addresses and Messages

Addressing the ceremony, Governor Shri Haribhau Bagde described legal education as a discipline directly linked to society. He called upon the students to utilize their legal knowledge for the welfare of the needy, the oppressed, and the marginalized sections of society.

Constitutional Values: The Governor reiterated Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s message that service to the nation is paramount. He stated, “We are Indians first and foremost, followed by any class, caste, or community.”

Respect for the Constitution: The Governor cautioned students against the tradition of using abusive language in the name of dissent, terming it anti-constitutional and advising students to be mindful and responsible in their speech.

Focus on Judicial Reforms

Union Law Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal highlighted the multifaceted personality of Dr. Ambedkar—a jurist, economist, psychologist, and author. He noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, efforts are underway to transition laws from being “punishment-centric” to “justice-centric” through the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. He suggested that the university should organize a lecture series on the various dimensions of Dr. Ambedkar’s personality to help the younger generation understand his comprehensive intellectual legacy.

Developed India and Education

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Premchand Bairwa emphasized that legal education is the most critical pillar in fulfilling the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting world-class education in Rajasthan.

Digital Initiatives and Achievements

A highlight of the ceremony was a modern digital initiative: Governor Shri Bagde launched the degrees for over 25,000 students live into their ‘DigiLocker’ accounts with the click of a button. Earlier, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nishtha Jaswal presented a detailed report on the university’s academic progress and achievements in her welcome address.

JAIPUR. In a bid to ensure that the benefits of the state government’s ambitious welfare schemes reach the last mile, a high-level review meeting was held on Wednesday at the Collectorate Auditorium. The meeting was chaired by Jaipur District Collector Sandesh Nayak.

During the session, the District Collector emphasized that providing timely benefits of flagship public welfare schemes to every eligible individual is a moral responsibility of the administration. He directed officials from various departments to fast-track pending cases and achieve targeted growth within strict timelines.

Sharp Focus on Food Security and Lado Protsahan Yojana

Addressing food security concerns, the District Collector instructed the District Supply Officer (I), Priyavrat Singh Charan, to expedite the process of onboarding newly eligible families under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) following due legal procedures.

Furthermore, departmental officers were strictly ordered to prioritize and swiftly resolve all pending applications under the ‘Lado Protsahan Yojana’—a scheme aimed at the welfare and empowerment of girls.

Boosting Water Conservation and Education Campaigns

Environmental sustainability and human resource development took center stage during the discussion, with the Collector issuing the following directives:

Karmabhoomi Se Matrabhoomi Campaign: Departments were directed to implement rain-water harvesting initiatives, which include recharging dried-up tube wells and installing water recharge systems in waterlogged areas.

Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan: Education department officials were tasked with bringing qualitative improvement and accelerating the expected progress of this educational campaign.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana: Officials were urged to maximize outreach to local artisans and traditional craftsmen to ensure they benefit from this central scheme.

Additionally, Sandesh Nayak micro-reviewed the progress of several other critical initiatives, including the PM-KUSUM Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY), PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), Swachh Bharat Mission (both Urban & Rural), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and the Atal Pragati Path, ordering officials to overcome implementation bottlenecks immediately.

Key Officials in Attendance

The review meeting saw active participation from senior administrative figures, including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zila Parishad Pratibha Verma, Additional District Collector (I) Vinita Singh, Additional District Collector (Jaipur City-North) Mukesh Kumar Moond, Additional District Collector (III) Devayan, and CPO Dr. Sudeep Kumawat, alongside other district-level departmental heads who joined both in person and via video conferencing.

JAIPUR. In a major move to link Jaipur’s rich cultural heritage with economic growth, the district administration has stepped up its efforts. On Wednesday, District Collector Shri Sandesh Nayak chaired a high-level review meeting at the Collectorate to discuss the conservation, promotion, and development of the district’s ‘Panch Gaurav’ (Five Pillars of Pride) initiative, aiming to drive local employment and entrepreneurship.

During the meeting, the Collector emphasized that the ‘Panch Gaurav’ elements are not just cultural identities but are pivotal to Jaipur’s financial ecosystem and sustainable livelihood generation.

Understanding Jaipur’s ‘Panch Gaurav’ Initiative

To ensure the holistic growth of the district, five distinct sectors have been identified under the ‘Panch Gaurav’ framework:

One District One Product (ODOP): Gems & Jewellery

One District One Crop (ODOF): Amla (Gooseberry)

One District One Flora Species: Lisoda (Bird Lime Tree)

One District One Sport: Kabaddi

One District One Tourist Destination: Amer Fort

Action Plan and Activity Calendar for 2026-27

Aligning with the vision of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, Collector Nayak directed all concerned departments to release a dedicated calendar of activities for the financial year 2026-27. To raise awareness, ‘Panch Gaurav’ branding through hoardings, standees, and banners will be mandatory at all government-organized events, camps, and conferences. Furthermore, educational institutions (both government and private) will host competitions to educate the youth about these regional treasures.

Key Departmental Directives Issued:

Forest & Horticulture Department: Focus on mega plantation drives for Lisoda and Amla. ‘Vriksha Mitras’ (Friends of Trees) will be appointed to ensure the survival and care of these saplings. Effective marketing strategies will also be developed for these crops.

Sports Department: To foster athletic talent among the youth, regular Kabaddi tournaments will be organized at the Gram Panchayat, Sub-division, and District levels.

Tourism Department: Infrastructure around Amer Fort will be upgraded, focusing on better connectivity, parking, clean drinking water, sanitation, signage, and lighting. To generate local employment, specialized guide training programs will be introduced, and historical literature will be distributed to tourists.

Industries & Handlooms: Regular skill-development workshops will be conducted to connect the youth with Jaipur’s world-renowned Gems and Jewellery sector, encouraging local entrepreneurship.

The high-level meeting saw active participation from Smt. Pratibha Verma (CEO, Zila Parishad), Smt. Vinita Singh (Additional District Collector I), and senior officials from the Statistics and Planning departments, who joined both in person and via video conferencing.

JAIPUR: Amidst the scorching heat and severe heatwave conditions in Rajasthan, the Cooperative Department has launched a highly humane and compassionate initiative. Aiming to provide relief to voiceless animals and birds, the department has started a state-wide ‘Parinda Bandho Abhiyan’ (Hang Water Pots Campaign). The campaign was inaugurated by the Minister of State for Cooperatives (Independent Charge), Shri Gautam Kumar Dak, by hanging a water pot (Parinda) at the Apex Bank premises in Jaipur.

Preparing for a Mass Movement via a Vast Departmental Network

Dr. Samit Sharma, Secretary and Registrar of the Cooperative Department, furthered the campaign at the Government Secretariat and Nehru Sahakar Bhawan. He stated that the department would utilize its extensive network to turn this initiative into a ‘mass movement’ (Jan-Andolan).

Key Features of the Campaign:

Widespread Reach: Earthen water pots and water containers will be installed across cooperative bank branches, KVSS (Kraya Vikraya Sahakari Samitis), and Gram Seva Cooperative Society premises throughout the state.

Regular Maintenance: Strict instructions have been issued to officials to clean the water containers daily and refill them with fresh drinking water to prevent the risk of waterborne diseases and mosquito breeding.

Provision for Food: Along with water, arrangements for regular bird feed (Chugga) will also be ensured.

Participation of Every Section of Society

The department has called upon public representatives, philanthropists, NGOs, and the general public to join this noble cause. The Secretary emphasized that the Indian Constitution and Rajasthan’s rich cultural traditions teach us lessons of compassion towards living beings and environmental conservation. This initiative is not merely limited to providing water to animals and birds; it is an effort to strengthen the spirit of compassion and sensitivity within society.

Relief for Visitors at Offices

Along with this campaign, the department has issued special directives to all offices and cooperative societies under its jurisdiction for the convenience of visitors. Given the intense heat, the following measures have been ordered:

Adequate arrangements for clean and cool drinking water must be made for farmers, consumers, and the general public visiting the offices.

Instructions have been issued to ensure shaded rest areas and proper seating arrangements within all office and society premises.

The department believes that along with performing official duties, adhering to human values is a primary responsibility of every officer and employee.

JAIPUR: Residents of Jaipur are soon set to receive a new and affordable option in the public transport sector. State Minister for Cooperatives (Independent Charge) Shri Gautam Kumar Dak has announced that India’s first taxi service based on a cooperative model—‘Bharat Taxi’—will soon be launched in Jaipur. This service aims not only to provide safe travel for the general public but also to create a new chapter of economic prosperity for the drivers (known as Saarthis).

Unique Features of ‘Bharat Taxi’

In a dialogue program held at the Apex Bank auditorium, the Minister of Cooperatives explained that this service is entirely different from private taxi aggregator companies. Its key features include:

Drivers as Owners: The most significant aspect of this model is that there is no external corporate owner; the drivers (Saarthis) themselves are the actual owners of the service.

Transparency and Security: ‘Bharat Taxi’ is built on four core principles: ownership, a safety shield, respect, and equal distribution of dividends.

No Arbitrary Practices: In this model, no driver’s account will be deactivated without a hearing. Furthermore, drivers will be completely freed from hidden charges and the heavy subscription fees often imposed by private companies.

Proposed Launch in the First Week of June

Following successful operations in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Chandigarh, the launch of this service is proposed for Jaipur in the first week of June 2026. Minister Shri Dak urged the drivers to join this indigenous cooperative initiative in large numbers, which will effectively curb the monopolistic practices of private companies.

Enthusiasm Among Drivers

During the dialogue, drivers present noted that while working with private companies, they often face exploitation, with a large portion of their earnings taken as commission. The drivers expressed confidence that through ‘Bharat Taxi’, they would establish Rajasthan as a ‘role model’ in this sector.

The event was attended by Special Assistant Dr. Suraj Singh Negi, Additional Registrar Shri Bhomaram, Apex Bank Managing Director Shri Ranjeet Singh Chundawat, and Bharat Taxi City Head (Jaipur) Shri Abhishek Charan, among other officials.

Ajmer/Jaipur | May 17, 2026

In a significant stride toward reinforcing rural civic infrastructure and decentralizing administrative services, a state-of-the-art Gram Panchayat building was unveiled in the Ajmer district. Deputy Chief Minister Ms. Diya Kumari officially inaugurated the newly constructed complex in Kesarpura on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Following the inaugural event, she hosted a ‘Gram Vikas Chaupal’ (rural development assembly) to interact directly with local citizens, evaluate regional grievances, and issue immediate processing orders to departmental officers.

Demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and reinforcing the national appeal for resource conservation, the Deputy Chief Minister opted to travel from Jaipur to Ajmer via the Aravali Express train, deliberately choosing public rail transport over a conventional motorized road convoy to save fuel.

Kesarpura Panchayat Bhawan to Serve as a Structural Blueprint: Deputy CM

Addressing the local assembly and panchayat representatives, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari lauded the architectural design, construction standards, and public amenities built into the new complex. She stated:

Official Ministerial Statement: “The newly constructed Gram Panchayat Bhawan of Kesarpura, with its modern infrastructure, is designed to serve as a baseline model for the entire state of Rajasthan. Regional administrations across other districts should adopt this template to upgrade their respective panchayat buildings. A well-equipped, consolidated administrative hub not only accelerates localized rural development but also offers a dignified space for local governance assemblies and the smooth execution of welfare schemes.”

Reflecting on her role as the Minister-in-Charge for the Ajmer district, she reiterated that driving holistic development across the zone remains a core administrative priority. She added that the state government has successfully utilized mobile ‘Gram Vikas Raths’ (rural development vehicles) and public chaupals to bring policy transparency right to the doorsteps of rural families. She further assured that community inputs dropped into the newly installed Suggestion Boxes will be systematically evaluated and implemented.

A Push for Scientific Farming Interventions and Organic Cultivation

The inaugural conference featured Union Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Bhagirath Choudhary, as a special guest. He shared the broader structural achievements spearheaded by the center-state ‘double-engine’ administration specifically aimed at empowering marginal farmers, laborers, and underprivileged rural groups.

He placed a strong emphasis on critical structural transitions for the regional farming community:
