JAIPUR (June 10, 2026): To fortify road safety and strictly penalize traffic violators, the Rajasthan Police’s special statewide campaign has entered its most rigorous phase. Operating under the direct supervision of Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Kumar Sharma, this massive ‘Traffic Strike’ has initiated a strict clampdown on non-compliant vehicle owners across the state.

In just six days, law enforcement agencies have registered penal actions against a staggering 50,174 vehicles. On the sixth day (June 9) alone, the department recorded its highest single-day execution with 10,825 challans issued. The police are tightening the noose around vehicles equipped with illegal black window tints, unauthorized nameplates, VIP-style hooters, and illegal modifications under their policy framework of “Counseling first, strictness later.”

6-Day Crackdown Data: Breakdown by Violation Category

The statewide enforcement data shows precise targeting of systemic traffic and security violations. The table below outlines the total actions taken over the six days alongside the single-day peak on the sixth day:

Type of Traffic Violation

Total Actions (6-Day Cumulative)

Actions Taken on Day 6 (June 9)

Illegal Black Film (Window Tints)

19,694

4,220

Non-Standard Nameplates & Faulty Registration

13,046

2,449

Unauthorized Titles, Designations, or Symbols

06,791

1,784

Illegal Body or Chassis Modifications

04,757

—

Unauthorized Red/Blue Lights, Flashers & Hooters

03,244

763

Noise-Polluting Pressure Horns & Air Horns

02,642

571

Total Cumulative Penalties

50,174

10,825

Campaign Velocity: Rising Graph of Daily Enforcement

Statistical analysis reveals that enforcement intensified systematically day by day as checkpoints expanded across Rajasthan’s major transit corridors:

June 4 (Day 1): The drive commenced with penal actions against 4,716 vehicles.

June 5 (Day 2): Checkpoints expanded, resulting in 7,300 registered challans.

June 6 (Day 3): Tightened checking parameters pushed the count to 9,362.

June 7 (Day 4): Intensive screening maintained momentum with 9,523 penalties.

June 8 (Day 5): Constant patrolling saw enforcement action against 8,448 vehicles.

June 9 (Day 6): Hit a historic campaign peak with 10,825 vehicles penalized in 24 hours.

‘Counseling Before Strictness’ Policy Yields Results

Additional Director General of Police (Traffic) Dr. B.L. Meena stated that the campaign is being executed under the close supervision of DG Traffic Shri Anil Paliwal. The initiative is structured as a direct intervention to reduce road fatalities and manage public safety effectively.

Statement from ADG Traffic Dr. B.L. Meena:

“Rajasthan Police is driving this initiative on the principle of ‘First counseling, then strictness.’ While widespread awareness programs were conducted in the initial stages, we are now taking uncompromised legal action against deliberate violators. The use of illegal black window films often obscures criminal activities, while unauthorized pressure horns are major sources of public noise pollution. Our primary objective is to make public roads fundamentally safe for ordinary citizens.”

Sharp Focus on Non-Standard Nameplates and Alterations

The crackdown heavily targeted individuals driving vehicles with caste-indicative words, unauthorized political designations, fake official symbols, or deliberately obscured registration plates. In 6,791 such instances, police teams stripped off unapproved stickers and seized non-standard display elements on the spot. Furthermore, vehicles found with structural changes violating standard manufacturing dimensions were booked under strict clauses of the Motor Vehicles Act.

The traffic department has urged citizens to ensure full compliance with standard vehicular codes. Vehicle owners must avoid retrofitting unauthorized auxiliary gear such as sirens, strobe lights, or modified exhaust silencers, as continuing violations under this active strike may result in immediate vehicle impoundment.

JAIPUR (June 10, 2026): In one of its most extensive operations to date, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has launched a massive crackdown to free the Pink City from the clutches of land mafias and illegal encroachers. Aligning with the state government’s strict ‘zero tolerance’ policy against corruption and illegal land occupation, the JDA’s Enforcement Wing executed parallel large-scale demolition drives across various city zones on Wednesday.

Acting on the firm directives of Jaipur Development Commissioner (JDC) Shri Siddharth Mahajan, the enforcement squads successfully reclaimed approximately 70 bighas of prime government pasture land valued at a staggering ₹140 crore. Furthermore, three new illegal colonies being developed on private agricultural land—without mandatory land conversion or JDA approval—were completely razed at their preliminary stages.

Action Report at a Glance: Zone-Wise Breakdown

Affected Area / Zone

Land Type

Total Area (Bigha)

Major Action Taken / Current Status

Zone-10 (Govindpura aka Ropada, Sumel, Bagrana)

Government Pasture Land

70 Bighas

Boundary walls, tin sheds, and illegal commercial structures demolished; Land worth ₹140 crore secured.

Zone-12 (Village Sarna Dungar)

Private Agricultural Land

10 Bighas

Newly developing illegal colony completely dismantled.

Zone-17 (Village Khora Bisal)

Private Agricultural Land

04 Bighas

Illegal plot demarcations and mud-gravel roads removed.

Zone-19 (Boraj, Jobner Road)

Private Agricultural Land

28 Bighas

Initial infrastructure of an unapproved colony thoroughly destroyed.

JDA’s Yellow Claw Reclaims Prime Government Pasture Land

Detailing the operation, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and Chief Enforcement Officer Shri Anand Sharma stated that the most significant action took place under Zone-10, encompassing the villages of Govindpura (Ropada), Sumel, and Bagrana. Here, land mafias had aggressively fenced off precious government pasture land, attempting to carve out illegal residential and commercial plots.

Supported by a heavy police presence, the JDA enforcement squad utilized JCBs and Poclain excavators to tear down illegal boundary walls, tin sheds, and under-construction structures. The total estimated market value of this reclaimed 70-bigha prime land stands at approximately ₹140 crore.

Illegal Colonies on 42 Bighas of Private Agricultural Land Razed

The JDA also dealt a severe blow to illegal colonizers who were blindly plotting residential schemes on agricultural lands adjacent to urban borders without any statutory approvals. A total of 42 bighas of private agricultural land across three different zones saw immediate demolition of illegal roads and plot boundaries:

Zone-12 (Sarna Dungar): Preparations for illegal plotting on 10 bighas of agricultural land without land-use conversion were completely foiled.

Zone-17 (Khora Bisal): Structures and boundary markers of a colony being carved out on 4 bighas of private land—without a JDA-approved layout plan—were cleared.

Zone-19 (Boraj, Jobner Road): In the largest of the agricultural interventions, illegally laid mud and gravel roads spread across 28 bighas were entirely uprooted.

Demolition Costs to be Recovered from Culprits

Following these extensive drives, supervised by Chief Controller of Enforcement Smt. Shilpa Choudhary, the JDA administration has adopted an unforgiving stance. According to official statements, every single penny of the heavy administrative and machinery expenses (Demolition Cost) incurred during this drive will be legally recovered directly from the respective land mafias and illegal colonizers.

JDA’s Public Appeal: Do Not Fall for Traps, Report Directly

To safeguard the hard-earned money of the common public, the Jaipur Development Authority has issued an advisory. The JDA strongly urges citizens to thoroughly verify if a housing scheme is strictly JDA-approved and RERA-registered before making any financial investments.

Additionally, the administration appeals to residents to immediately report any illegal construction or encroachment on government land via the following official channels:

JDA Control Room Helpline Numbers: 0141-2565800, 0141-2575252, 0141-2575151

State Government Integrated Portal: Rajasthan Sampark Portal (Toll-Free Number 181)

This successful mega-drive was executed through the joint efforts of the Deputy Controllers of Enforcement (I, II, and IV), respective zonal enforcement officers, revenue officials, and technical staff.

He emphasized that there would be absolutely no compromise on the quality of construction.

(BSTC) Entrance Exam 2026

Conducting Authority

Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota

Date of Examination

May 20, 2026

Provisional Answer Key Release

Late May 2026

Final Answer Key Published

May 31, 2026

Total Registered Applicants

6,05,242 candidates

Total Appeared Candidates

4,97,178 candidates

Total Available Seats Statewide

Approximately 26,000 seats

Result Declaration Date

June 10, 2026

Official Result Portal

predeledraj2026.com

Mandatory Minimum Qualifying Criteria

The Department of Elementary Education has set explicit minimum qualifying percentages that candidates must achieve in the entrance test to become eligible for the subsequent counseling rounds:

General Category: Applicants must score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Reserved Categories (SC, ST, OBC, MBC, PwBD, Widows, and Divorcee Women): Applicants must secure a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.

Note: Achieving the minimum qualifying marks guarantees eligibility for counseling registration but does not automatically ensure seat allocation, which is governed strictly by comparative merit and choices filled.

Category-Wise Expected Cut-Off Marks

While the official cut-off list will be dynamic and revealed incrementally during successive seat allocation rounds, structural trends from preceding academic sessions indicate that the expected cut-off ranges for top-tier training institutes will likely settle within these brackets:

Candidate Category

Expected Cut-Off Range (Out of 600)

General / Unreserved

400 – 430 Marks

Other Backward Classes (OBC)

390 – 420 Marks

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)

385 – 415 Marks

Most Backward Classes (MBC)

380 – 410 Marks

Scheduled Castes (SC)

340 – 370 Marks

Scheduled Tribes (ST)

330 – 360 Marks

JAIPUR: In a major stride toward reinforcing the socio-economic and legal empowerment of women, the district administration of Jaipur successfully organized the ‘Nari Chaupal-Nari Shakti Vandan’ program on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Held simultaneously across district and block levels, the mass campaign specifically aims to foster grassroots leadership, enhance decision-making capacities, and bridge the gap between welfare schemes and their targeted female beneficiaries.

The initiative moves beyond conventional administrative outreach to actively equip women with the knowledge required to safeguard their health, navigate the digital world securely, and assert their legal rights.

High-Level Administrative Synergy at Zila Parishad

The central, district-level event was hosted at the Zila Parishad Auditorium in Jaipur. The symposium brought together multiple administrative arms, including the Department of Medical, Health and Family Welfare, the Department of Rural Development, and the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.

Senior officials and domain experts engaged in interactive dialogue tracking the execution of women-centric welfare policies, evaluating delivery mechanisms to ensure that benefits reach marginalized households in both rural blocks and urban clusters.

Key Awareness Tracks: Bridging Health, Safety, and Social Reform

The Nari Chaupal stood out for its focus on highly relevant contemporary issues. Rather than limiting the discourse to general financial aid, workshops were conducted on critical topics vital to a woman’s quality of life:

Digital Literacy & Cyber Security: With the rise of digital financial inclusion, women are increasingly targeted by online scammers. Experts educated attendees on protecting personal data, identifying phishing attempts, preventing social media hacking, and reporting digital harassment.

Cervical Cancer Prevention: Addressing a critical public health concern, medical professionals raised awareness about the symptoms of cervical cancer, the absolute necessity of routine screenings, and the availability of preventive vaccination.

Anemia Control & Nutrition: The health department distributed informative literature on eradicating nutritional deficiencies and managing anemia among women and adolescent girls through balanced diets and government-supplied supplements.

Eradication of Child Marriage: Law enforcement and social welfare officers reiterated the strictly punitive legal consequences of child marriage, urging community leaders to proactively report instances and promote girls’ higher education.

Improving the Sex Ratio: The forum highlighted community-led interventions designed to eliminate gender bias, monitor prenatal diagnostic abuses, and celebrate the birth of girl children.

Legal Literacy Drive: The technical sessions provided detailed orientations on legal protections against domestic violence and workplace harassment. Participants were introduced to the operational networks of Help Centers, legal aid cells, and the ‘Sakhi One-Stop Center’ helpline system.

Folk Media and Street Plays Drive the Message Home

To cross literacy barriers and make complex legal and medical information accessible, the campaign relied on traditional performance arts. Creative groups performed localized Nukkad Nataks (Street Plays) that effectively illustrated social issues like cyber fraud and early marriage. These performances, coupled with regional cultural exhibits and multimedia presentations, succeeded in breaking down policy structures into easy-to-understand communal messages.

Direct Financial Empowerment: Lado Protsahan Yojana

A major highlight of the event was the direct distribution of benefits under the state’s flagship ‘Lado Protsahan Yojana’. Dignitaries on stage handed over symbolic checks to selected girl children and women beneficiaries. This program underscores the government’s commitment to securing the financial future of girls, incentivizing their education, and preventing early drops from formal schooling.

Massive Turnout Underscores Local Engagement

The ‘Nari Shakti Vandan’ campaign witnessed extensive community mobilization. The institutional turnout demonstrates strong public participation across the district:

Event Operational Jurisdiction

Verified Number of Active Participants

Jaipur District Level (Main Event)

310 Participants

Block Level (Combined Rural/Suburban Blocks)

1,622+ Participants

Cumulative District Engagement

1,932+ Active Women Leaders

Prominent Dignitaries in Attendance

The event was closely managed by top-tier administrative officers and social sector pioneers. Notable figures steering the discussions included:

Devayani — Additional District Collector (III), Jaipur

Parthvi — Deputy Director, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS)

Dr. Rajesh Dogiwal — Representative, Women Empowerment Department

Nitisha Sharma — Executive President, Inaya Foundation

In their concluding addresses, the leadership panel emphasized that sustainable governance is impossible without the active participation of women in institutional decision-making. They urged the gathered block representatives to act as ambassadors of change in their respective villages.

JAIPUR: In a major push toward boosting clean energy and empowering farmers as active solar energy producers (Urjadata), the Government of India has approved a substantial Central Financial Assistance (CFA) package. Under ‘Component-C’ of the PM-KUSUM scheme, a financial aid of ₹531 crore has been greenlit for 553 solar power producers across Rajasthan.

The approved subsidy will be directly credited to the bank accounts of the respective solar producers through the Ajmer and Jodhpur electricity distribution companies (Discoms) shortly. This milestone initiative is set to enhance rural energy security while substantially multiplying farmers’ income streams.

Discom-Wise Financial Breakdown

The Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has allocated the newly sanctioned subsidy between the two primary state discoms as follows:

Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JdVVNL): A total assistance of ₹379.41 crore has been approved for 432 solar producers who successfully set up solar plants with a combined capacity of 429 MW.

Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL): Financial aid worth ₹151.21 crore has been sanctioned for 121 solar power developers who commissioned plants with a collective capacity of 169 MW.

Exemplary Efficiency: ₹1,012 Crore Worth of Claims Processed

Rajasthan’s power distribution companies (Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Ajmer Discoms) are working proactively to ensure that local solar producers encounter zero administrative hurdles when processing their subsidies. Due to streamlined claim submissions, the flow of central funds into the state has remained exceptionally consistent.

To date, total subsidy claims worth ₹1,012 crore have been successfully processed and submitted to the Central Ministry.

Out of these submissions, the Government of India has already disbursed ₹670 crore in direct assistance to 720 solar power producers across the state.

Understanding ‘Component-C’ of the PM-KUSUM Scheme

Component-C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) focuses on the solarization of agricultural feeders. It presents an innovative model for turning barren or non-arable lands into regular revenue-generating assets for the farming community.

Project Scale: Decentralized grid-connected solar power plants with capacities up to 5 MW can be developed on lands situated within a 5-kilometer radius of local electricity sub-stations.

Substantial Subsidy Support: The Central Government offers financial assistance of up to 30% of the total plant cost based on its overall generation capacity, facilitating complete solarization of dedicated agricultural power feeders.

Cap on Aid: The maximum financial grant under this framework is capped at ₹1.05 crore per megawatt.

Rajasthan Secures 3rd Spot Nationally in Solar Feeder Component

Rajasthan continues to establish new benchmarks in India’s green energy landscape. Under Component-C of the scheme, the state has already deployed 1,312 distinct solar projects boasting an impressive aggregate capacity of 3,371 MW.

The distribution of this operational capacity across state discoms includes:

Jodhpur Discom: 2,647 MW

Ajmer Discom: 373 MW

Jaipur Discom: 352 MW

With these figures, Rajasthan firmly holds the third position across the nation in the implementation and scaling of this sustainable agricultural solar infrastructure.

Disclaimer:

This news feature is structured independently for public awareness and educational purposes based on official press statements and data released by the state public relations authorities. For real-time updates regarding specific claim forms, registration pipelines, or absolute subsidy caps, readers are advised to check the official portal of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) or their respective regional Discom office.

New York: In a historic yet highly polarizing moment for American sports, Donald Trump became the first sitting United States President to attend an NBA Finals game. On Monday, June 8, 2026, the President arrived at the iconic Madison Square Garden to witness Game 3 of the championship series between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs.

While his attendance marked a major milestone in NBA history, the presidential visit was overshadowed by unprecedented security delays, political protests, and a thunderous chorus of boos from the New York crowd.

Here is a detailed breakdown of the highly discussed Game 3, which made headlines for reasons both on and off the basketball court.

Knicks’ Historic Win Streak Snapped by Spurs

On the court, the highly anticipated matchup ended in disappointment for the home crowd. The New York Knicks suffered a tough 115-111 defeat against the San Antonio Spurs. This loss was particularly painful for New York fans as it shattered the Knicks’ spectacular 13-game playoff winning streak—the second-longest in NBA playoff history.

Despite the setback, the Knicks, who are hunting for their first NBA Championship since 1973, still maintain a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

A Hostile Reception for the President

New York City, a heavily Democratic stronghold, did not offer a warm welcome to the President. Trump watched the game from a VIP suite alongside Knicks owner James Dolan, his granddaughter Kai Trump, and several high-ranking cabinet members.

The most viral moment of the night occurred during the playing of the national anthem. When the stadium’s massive Jumbotron panned to show President Trump in his suite, the arena erupted into deafening boos. In a stark contrast that highlighted the crowd’s allegiance, the boos instantly transformed into wild cheers the moment the camera shifted from the President to Knicks star point guard Jalen Brunson standing on the court.

The hostility extended beyond the arena. Trump’s motorcade was greeted by protesters lining the streets of Manhattan holding signs that read “Trump must go” and “Nobody wants you here.”

Unprecedented Security Chaos and Delays

The presence of a sitting president completely transformed the logistics of the event. The United States Secret Service, working alongside the NYPD, established a massive security perimeter around Madison Square Garden.

Fans holding expensive Finals tickets were forced to endure TSA-style security screenings, resulting in agonizing wait times of two hours or more just to enter the building. The sweeping security protocols even impacted the players. San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox openly noted that the heightened security measures made the evening “inconvenient on everybody else,” forcing the visiting team to arrive at the arena much earlier than their standard schedule.

Reactions from the NBA and Political Figures

The NBA community and political figures offered mixed reactions to the presidential visit. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver defended the President’s attendance, stating, “He is welcome to be here. What makes sports so special, especially when there’s so much that divides people, is that it’s something we have in common. We should use sports to create more of a sense of community.” Silver was also seen visiting James Dolan’s suite to speak with Trump during the game.

Conversely, some political figures expressed frustration. Representative Hakeem Jeffries of New York voiced his displeasure, stating, “The Knicks haven’t been in the NBA Finals for 27 years, the city is trying to celebrate this… and this guy has to inject himself.”

A Star-Studded Crowd

Despite the political tension, the glamour of the NBA Finals remained intact. The courtside seats were packed with A-list celebrities and prominent figures, including legendary film director Spike Lee, actors Ben Stiller and Timothée Chalamet, Yankees icon Derek Jeter, former Mayor Mike Bloomberg, and current New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

As the series moves forward, all eyes are now on Game 4 at Madison Square Garden, where the Knicks will look to regain their momentum and push closer to an elusive championship.
