Taking swift action, the Odisha Cyber Police in Sambalpur arrested five individuals on April 23, 2026, for their alleged involvement in circulating the video. The accused have been identified as Raja Badhei, Rabindriya Seth, Sushant Bagh, Sambhu Prasad Pradhan, all residents of Sambalpur, and Deepak Mahar from Sonepur district.

During the investigation, police seized five mobile phones from the accused. These devices have been sent for forensic examination to trace the origin of the video, understand how it was circulated, and identify if more individuals were involved in spreading it.

Officials stated that efforts are ongoing to control further sharing of the video across platforms. At the same time, authorities have warned the public that sharing or forwarding such objectionable content can lead to strict legal consequences under Indian cyber laws.

The investigation is still underway to determine how the video was recorded and uploaded. Authorities are also examining the scale of its spread and whether additional people played a role in amplifying it online.
