Karoli, Rajasthan:
The Karoli district boxing team has officially departed for Alwar to compete in the 5th State-Level Sub-Junior Girls’ and Boys’ Boxing Championship. The tournament is scheduled to be held from May 22 to May 24, 2026, at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Alwar.
Representing Karoli
The team, backed by rigorous training and guidance from head coach Bobby Singh Rajawat, is prepared to showcase their skills on the state stage. The following athletes have been selected to represent the district across various weight categories:
Boys’ Team:
- Shubham Gurjar (30-33 kg)
- Yuvraj Sharma (35-37 kg)
- Tarun Prajapat (37-40 kg)
- Mohammad Rehan (43-46 kg)
- Dalveer Khatana (48-50 kg)
- Sarveshwar Pal Jadon (60-64 kg)
Girls’ Team:
- Saujanya Pal (58-60 kg)
Team Management: The contingent is led by team managers Tasleem Khan and Prem Singh Prajapat. Technical guidance and in-ring coaching will be provided by coach Shantanu Hardeniya, while Dara Singh Meena will serve as a Ring Official for the championship.
Farewell and Best Wishes
Before their departure, the team was given a warm send-off by representatives of the Boxing Association and local sports enthusiasts. Present at the event were Association Secretary Mausam Meena, President Akhilesh Garg, former Pradhan Pushpendra Sharma, and community members Sajid Khan, Vikram Garhi, Dhirendra Bainsla, and Mahesh Bainsla. The attendees expressed their confidence in the squad and encouraged the young athletes to bring glory to the Karoli district.
