Uttrakhand Helicopter Crashed : A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand. On Sunday morning, a private helicopter carrying pilgrims to Guptkashi crashed in the forest area near Gaurikund. In this tragic accident, all seven people on board, including the pilot, died on the spot.

How did the accident happen?

According to available information, the Aryan Aviation helicopter disappeared from radar shortly after taking off from Kedarnath Dham. Later, local villagers spotted thick smoke and flames in the forest near Gaurikund. Rescue teams rushed to the spot after receiving the alert, but it was too late. The helicopter had already caught fire, and all passengers had perished.

Who were the victims?

There were a total of seven people on board — one pilot and six passengers, most of whom were pilgrims returning to Guptkashi after completing their Kedarnath Yatra. The deceased include Rajkumar Jaiswal, Shraddha Jaiswal, Kashi Jaiswal, Tushti Singh, Vinod, Vikram Singh, and Captain Rajiv. Reports say the bodies were severely burned. It is believed that the helicopter crashed into the forest area above Gauri Mai Khark.

Questions raised about helicopter service –

This is not the first time a helicopter has crashed during the Kedarnath Yatra. In the past, several accidents have occurred due to technical failures or adverse weather conditions. Once again, questions are being raised about the safety of these private helicopter services.

Rudraprayag’s Nodal Officer for Helicopter/Tourism, Rahul Chaubey, stated:“We received information in the morning that a helicopter of Aryan Aviation Company met with an accident while returning from Kedarnath. There were five passengers on board, including a 23-month-old child, and pilot Rajiv. Due to bad weather, the pilot tried to steer the helicopter out of the valley, but it crashed above Gaurikund. NDRF and SDRF teams have been deployed at the site by the administration.”
