A tragic incident has come to light from the forests of Balagaon in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district of Chhattisgarh, where the bodies of a young couple were found hanging from the same tree. The police suspect it to be a case of suicide due to family opposition to their inter-caste relationship.
💔 Love Restricted by Caste
According to sources, Amar Singh (24) and Champa Bai Agariya (20), residents of Ghutra village under Saraitola Panchayat, were in a romantic relationship for the past few years. They belonged to different castes, and their families reportedly disapproved of their relationship.
Both went missing on Thursday night, and their families began searching for them. On Sunday morning, locals spotted their bodies hanging from a tree near the Ghaghi river in the forest area of Balagaon. The decaying smell led villagers to alert the police.
🚨 Police Investigation
Police arrived at the scene and confirmed their identities. The initial investigation suggests a suicide pact. The bodies were sent for autopsy, and later handed over to the families.
😢 Family Tragedy Continues
The case has taken a more sorrowful turn as it is revealed that Amar Singh’s father, Prem Singh, and one of his sisters had also died by suicide in the past. Now, the family is once again devastated by this tragedy.
