United States, Donald Trump : Ever since the war between Israel and Iran started, Asian, Middle East and some western countries are in great tension. As soon as the war started, Iran had announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, due to which the Middle East countries, which export oil and gas, and the Asian and Western countries, which import oil and gas, came into tension. Meanwhile, very relieving news has come from America.

The White House has said that if necessary, the United States can deploy naval security forces for oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The conflict with Iran has raised concerns about global energy supplies and shipping security in one of the world’s most important sea corridors. 15 to 20 million barrels of crude oil and gas are exported through Hormuz.

During a White House briefing, Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt said the US is keeping a close eye on oil markets and maritime traffic as Operation Epic Fury continues against Iran. They said that President Donald Trump has already taken steps to stabilize energy markets and protect ships in the Gulf region. The US Development Finance Corporation will provide political risk insurance for crude oil carriers and cargo ships operating in and around the Gulf region.

He said that in case the security of ships deteriorates, the US Navy can also intervene directly. President Trump has said that if necessary, the US Navy will start escorting tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. The purpose of this step is to prevent disruption in global oil flows due to the intensification of the conflict with Iran. This waterway plays a central role in global energy markets.

The Strait of Hormuz controls 20 percent of the world’s global oil supply. The White House said the administration is working closely with its economic and energy teams to mitigate the economic impact of the conflict. Leavitt said, ‘With respect to oil prices and the domestic economy, certainly, this is an issue that the National Economic Energy Council, led by Finance Minister Scott Besant, Energy Minister Chris Wright and Doug Burgum, has worked on for a long time.’

US officials believe the economy can absorb temporary shocks arising from the conflict. He said the President and his economic team believe the economy remains very strong. It is robust and will be able to withstand any temporary impact of Operation Epic Fury.

The White House said that iran The recent action against may ultimately improve the stability of global energy markets. Leavitt argued that the conflict would reduce Tehran’s influence over ships passing through the strategic waterway. He said, ‘I think this explains why this action was so necessary, because ultimately the energy industry will benefit from the President’s action regarding Iran.’

Iran will no longer be able to threaten ships passing through this area. He said, ‘Iran will no longer be able to control the Strait of Hormuz and restrict the free flow of energy.’ Oil prices rose slightly after the conflict began, raising concerns about inflation and fuel costs in major importing countries.

US – Iran News : Tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran have once again pushed the Middle East into a period of extreme uncertainty. Reports claiming that the United States has targeted Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatullah Ali Khamenei, have intensified global debate. While official confirmations and verified details remain crucial in such high-stakes situations, the broader political questions surrounding U.S. policy toward Iran are now at the center of international discussion.

The Nuclear Question: Core Issue or Strategic Justification?

For years, Washington has accused Tehran of secretly advancing its nuclear program beyond civilian purposes. Iran, on the other hand, has consistently denied seeking to build nuclear weapons, insisting its program is intended for energy and research.

International oversight bodies such as the International Atomic Energy Agency have monitored Iran’s nuclear activities, but disagreements over transparency and compliance have persisted. The United States argues that preventing nuclear proliferation in the Middle East is a matter of global security.

Critics, however, question why some nations possess nuclear arsenals while others face severe consequences for pursuing similar capabilities.

Read Also –

Power Politics in the Western Hemisphere

Analysts have drawn parallels between U.S. actions in the Middle East and its historic approach in Latin America. A policy paper published by the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies argues that U.S. interventions are often less about restoring democracy and more about maintaining strategic dominance.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump was frequently vocal about projecting American strength globally. Some observers describe his approach as a modern extension of the James Monroe-era doctrine, often referred to as the Monroe Doctrine. The doctrine originally asserted U.S. opposition to European interference in the Americas.

In 1904, President Theodore Roosevelt expanded this principle through what became known as the Roosevelt Corollary, asserting that the United States had the right to intervene in Latin American nations to stabilize economic affairs and prevent European involvement.

Some analysts argue that modern U.S. foreign policy reflects similar ideas of regional dominance — though now applied beyond the Western Hemisphere.

Read Also –

From Iraq to Venezuela to Iran

The United States has previously justified military or political intervention on security grounds. The removal of Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein in 2003 was officially linked to concerns about weapons of mass destruction. In Latin America, pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was framed around democracy and anti-narcotics efforts.

Critics argue that these actions reflect a broader pattern of strategic intervention aimed at preserving American geopolitical influence. Supporters counter that such measures are necessary to prevent instability, terrorism, and nuclear proliferation.

Why Doesn’t the U.S. Want More Nuclear States?

At the heart of the debate lies a fundamental question: why does Washington oppose nuclear expansion in countries like Iran when several nations already possess nuclear arsenals? The United States maintains that limiting nuclear weapons reduces the risk of regional arms races and potential catastrophic conflict. Opponents view this stance as selective enforcement of global power structures.

What Does America Ultimately Want?

Foreign policy experts remain divided. Some believe the primary objective is deterrence — preventing adversarial regimes from gaining capabilities that could threaten U.S. allies, particularly Israel. Others argue the goal is strategic containment of rival influence in energy-rich and politically sensitive regions.

Read Also –

The US is unhappy with the India-EU free trade agreement

As tensions escalate, the international community watches closely. Whether the confrontation centers on nuclear security, regional dominance, or ideological rivalry, one fact is clear: the consequences extend far beyond Washington and Tehran.

Iran US Relation : Amidst ongoing tensions with Iran, US President Donald Trump said he hopes a deal can be reached between Washington and Tehran. His statement comes as Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned the US that any military confrontation could plunge the entire region into war.

Trump made it clear that if negotiations fail, it will become clear in the coming days how accurate Khamenei’s warning was.

US Military Presence in the Region

Speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, Trump said the US has deployed a large military force to the region. He said powerful naval vessels are currently near Iran, but despite this, the US priority remains a diplomatic solution.

According to him, the situation could become clearer in the next few days regarding whether the two countries reach an agreement.

Khamenei’s Stern Warning

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei sent a clear message to the US on social media, stating that if war breaks out, it will not be limited. He said Iran is not afraid of any military threat, whether it be warships or fighter jets.

He unequivocally stated that Iran does not want war, but is fully prepared to respond forcefully to any aggressive action.

“We will not attack, but we will respond”

In another statement, Khamenei said that Iran does not intend to attack any country, but if anyone tries to harm it, they will receive a decisive response.

He summarized the dispute between the US and Iran in two words: the US wants to control Iran, while the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic oppose this.

Accusations of US Control

The Iranian Supreme Leader said that the US lost its influence over Iran decades ago and now wants to regain that position. According to him, Iran’s oil, gas, mineral resources, and strategic location have always been a source of attraction for the US. He claimed that for a long time, Iran’s resources and policies were under American influence, but now the Iranian people are standing firm and resisting this.

Signs of Dialogue

Amidst the tensions, the possibility of dialogue has also emerged. Trump had previously indicated that a solution could be reached through negotiations. Meanwhile, Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, also stated on social media that preparations for talks with the US are moving forward.

Now, all eyes are on how the situation unfolds in the coming days—towards a deal or towards confrontation.
