<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, is set to host a major event in the realm of digital transformation. The &#8217;29th National e-Governance Conference&#8217; (NCeG) will be inaugurated grandly at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) on July 1 and 2, 2026. Himanshu Gupta, Commissioner and Special Secretary of the Department of Information Technology and Communication, inspected the venue and finalized preparations on Sunday.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Inauguration and Key Guests</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This two-day prestigious conference is being organized under the joint auspices of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, and the Government of Rajasthan.</p>

<li><strong>Inauguration:</strong> Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will formally inaugurate the conference on July 1. In the inaugural session, Minister of Information Technology and Communication, Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, will address the gathering and share the roadmap for digital innovations in the state.</li>



<li><strong>Valedictory and Awards:</strong> The concluding session and award distribution ceremony will take place on July 2. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, will be the Chief Guest. He will confer the &#8216;National e-Governance Awards 2026&#8217; upon winners who have demonstrated excellence in e-governance across the country.</li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This year&#8217;s conference is themed <strong>“Viksit Bharat 2047: AI-Enabled, Data-Driven, and Secure Digital Governance.”</strong> The core objective is to strengthen collaboration between central and state governments, industry leaders, and academic institutions. It aims to exchange best practices and deliberate on new dimensions of digital governance to realize the vision of a developed India by 2047.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Jaipur, June 18:</strong> The Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) in Jaipur is all set to host the prestigious 29th National e-Governance Conference (NCeG) on July 1 and 2. To ensure the event is a resounding success, high-level administrative preparations have been expedited. A crucial review meeting was convened at the Chief Secretary&#8217;s office on Thursday to take stock of the ongoing arrangements.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Conducted via video conferencing, the meeting was co-chaired by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas and Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Nivedita Shukla Verma. The senior officials evaluated the groundwork and issued comprehensive guidelines to the concerned departments to make the event historic and grand.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This year, the conference is centered around the theme, <em>&#8216;Viksit Bharat 2047: AI Enabled, Data Driven and Secure Digital Governance&#8217;</em>. It is being jointly organized by the DARPG, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and the Government of Rajasthan. NASSCOM and MNIT Jaipur are actively contributing as the knowledge partners for the event.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Focus on Expanding Outreach and Engaging Startups</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the review, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas directed officials to place special emphasis on maximizing the conference&#8217;s outreach. Highlighting the need to spread awareness about new innovations in the e-governance sector, he advised actively involving startups and industry partners in the event. He also issued strict instructions to ensure all state-level preparations are completed within the designated timelines.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Simultaneously, DARPG Secretary Nivedita Shukla Verma provided an update on the progress of central initiatives. She conducted a detailed review of essential components, including invitation protocols, session schedules, exhibition stalls, the registration process, video presentations, the Wall of Fame, and the distribution of literature.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rajasthan Government to Host Special Sessions</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Shedding light on the state&#8217;s participation, Himanshu Gupta, Special Secretary and Commissioner of the IT &amp; Communication Department, announced that the Rajasthan government will host two dedicated sessions during the conference. These specialized sessions will focus on youth, innovation, and leveraging technology to ensure the rapid and seamless delivery of citizen services to the last mile.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The meeting also saw the presence of DARPG Additional Secretary Sarita Chauhan alongside several senior officials from the state&#8217;s IT department.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Inauguration by the Chief Minister and Award Ceremony</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The two-day national conference will be officially inaugurated on July 1 by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, who will address the gathering. IT &amp; Communication Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore will also deliver his remarks during the inaugural session.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On July 2, the valedictory and award distribution ceremony will be graced by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, as the Chief Guest. He will confer the prestigious National Awards for e-Governance 2026 to recognize outstanding digital initiatives.</p>
