Administrative Negligence Fuels Anger

Rinku Khedi Haivat, spokesperson for the District Jatav Social Reform Committee, along with local residents, alleged that illegal liquor is being openly sold in the residential zones of the villages for a long time. Despite knocking on the doors of the concerned officials multiple times to seek relief from this menace, the ground reality remains unchanged. The administration was previously notified in writing about the situation on June 7, 2026, yet no effective measures have been implemented, leaving the villagers deeply disappointed and agitated.

Adverse Impact on the Youth

According to the locals, this thriving illicit trade right in the middle of populated areas is polluting the peaceful and family-friendly atmosphere of the village. The younger generation is bearing the brunt of this illegal activity. Easy access to alcohol and the resulting anti-social elements are leading the youth astray, posing a massive threat to their future and the community’s overall well-being.

Protest Warning and Official Assurances

In their memorandum, the villagers stated in clear terms that if the administration does not seal the illegal liquor outlets within the next 24 hours, they will be compelled to launch an indefinite sit-in outside the SDM office. Furthermore, a massive blockade (chakka jam) will be organized on the main Hindaun-Bayana road. They emphasized that the local administration will be held entirely responsible for any resulting public inconvenience or deterioration of law and order.

Dozens of villagers, including Jitesh Dhindhora, Rajesh, Govind Singh, Surjeet Lala, Rajendra, Magan, Sonu, Jaswant, Veer Singh, and Raju, were present while handing over the memorandum. Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, the administration has assured a thorough investigation into the complaint and promised strict legal action according to the rules.
