Jaipur. Under the dynamic leadership and strategic guidance of Minister of State for Energy (Independent Charge) Mr. Heeralal Nagar, Rajasthan has achieved a historic state-level milestone in power generation. Recognizing this exceptional feat, the Multinational Book of Records (India) has registered the achievement in its record category and presented a Global Award to the Energy Minister at Vidyut Bhawan on Thursday, June 25.

A Historic Milestone: 94.60% Capacity Utilization

The Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) set a new benchmark on June 2, 2026, by generating the highest-ever 7,171 MW of electricity from its 23 coal-based thermal units, which have a total installed capacity of 7,580 MW. This marks the greatest operational achievement since the inception of the production corporation.

Following the formation of the current state government, Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma issued clear directives with a special focus on the energy sector. Acting on these instructions, RVUNL systematically addressed long-standing technical flaws in the thermal units. Through phased and proper maintenance, the corporation achieved a staggering 94.60% utilization rate across its coal-based units, resulting in this record-breaking 7,171 MW output.

Joint Recognition for Leadership and Teamwork

This prestigious Global Award was presented jointly, dedicating the success to the visionary guidance of Mr. Heeralal Nagar and the unprecedented efforts of the Energy Department’s officials and workforce.

During the ceremony at Vidyut Bhawan, Mr. Devendra Shringi, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of RVUNL, was also felicitated with the global certificate by Mr. Arihant Upadhyay, Manager of the Multinational Book of Records, and Coordinator Ms. Garima Jain.

Suratgarh Thermal Plant Sets an Independent Record

Expressing his delight at the achievement, Energy Minister Mr. Heeralal Nagar congratulated all the officials and employees of the department. He highlighted a specific triumph within the overall record:

On June 2, 2026, all 8 units of the Suratgarh Thermal Power Station, possessing a total capacity of 2,820 MW, also achieved their all-time best performance by generating 2,790 MW of electricity.

Towards an Energy-Reliant Rajasthan

Energy Secretary Ms. Aarti Dogra extended her congratulations on the achievement being officially registered in the record category. She stated that the state government is rapidly moving towards making Rajasthan self-reliant in the energy sector. “Under the government’s guidelines, this phenomenal success was made possible due to enhanced upkeep, efficient annual maintenance, and optimal operations,” she added.

RVUNL CMD Mr. Devendra Shringi also expressed his immense happiness, congratulating all the engineers and staff at the power stations. He emphasized that the continuous power generation by these units is a direct result of the relentless hard work and vigilant supervision by the corporation’s employees.

Dignitaries Present: The felicitation ceremony witnessed the presence of senior officials from the Energy Department, including Jodhpur Discom MD Dr. Bhanwar Lal, Directors of the Utpadan Nigam (RVUNL), and Directors of the Jaipur Discom.

Jaipur. In a massive boost for government job aspirants in Rajasthan, the state government has fulfilled its budget promise by initiating a major recruitment drive in the energy sector. The Rajasthan State Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) has officially released the recruitment advertisement for a total of 2,005 direct vacancies across various cadres in the state’s five government-owned power corporations. The online application process is scheduled to commence in July 2026, allowing eligible candidates to apply through the official departmental portals.

Minister of State for Energy (Independent Charge), Mr. Heeralal Nagar, expressed immense satisfaction with the rollout, stating that the state government remains firmly committed to providing timely employment opportunities for the youth while strengthening the workforce. He emphasized that this recruitment drive is a vital step toward reinforcing and modernizing the state’s power infrastructure. The addition of new technical and administrative personnel is expected to significantly improve the efficiency of power distribution, fault rectifications, and consumer grievance redressal.

Detailed Post-Wise Break-up of 2,005 Vacancies

According to the official advertisement, the recruitment drive covers both technical engineering positions and administrative/clerical roles. The 2,005 total vacancies are systematically divided into the following categories:

The deployment of these new professionals will directly address the long-standing personnel shortage across the power utilities. This expansion is designed to accelerate operational tasks, streamline revenue billing management, and minimize technical breakdowns in both urban networks and rural distribution blocks.

Appointments Across 5 State Power Corporations

Energy Minister Mr. Heeralal Nagar clarified that the recruitment process is being centrally managed for all the state power utilities. Successfully selected candidates will be allocated positions based on their examination merit and institutional preferences across the following five power companies:

Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL)

Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JdVVNL)

Fast-Track Execution: New Advertisement Follows Immediate Postings

The Rajasthan government is operating in a swift, action-oriented mode regarding public employment. In a notable display of administrative efficiency, the department declared the final results for 2,163 positions of Technician-III just two days prior, on June 22.

Following up immediately, the official appointment orders for those selected technicians were issued today, June 24. Without losing any momentum, the department instantly rolled out this brand-new advertisement for the next 2,005 vacant seats, ensuring a continuous stream of opportunities for the state’s educated youth.

List of Official Websites to Apply Online

Once the online registration links are activated in July 2026, interested and qualified candidates can log on to any of the following authorized government websites to access the detailed syllabus, eligibility criteria, and submit their digital application forms:

www.energy.rajasthan.gov.in/jdvvnl

www.energy.rajasthan.gov.in/avvnl

Conclusion

This direct recruitment drive for 2,005 positions in the electricity corporations serves as an exceptional gateway for engineering graduates, commerce students, and general graduates aiming for stable clerical or accounting careers.
