In a significant move to bolster local manufacturing and empower entrepreneurs, the Government of Rajasthan, under the vision of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, has introduced two major amendments to the One District One Product (ODOP) Policy-2024. Aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of local industries, the Department of Industries and Commerce has officially notified these changes.

1. Margin Money Grant Now Available for Business Expansion

Previously, the ODOP policy benefits were limited strictly to new industrial units. Responding to the state budget announcements for 2026-27, the government has now extended the Margin Money Grant to existing enterprises looking to scale up their operations.

Micro Enterprises: Eligible for a margin money grant of up to ₹20 Lakh.

Small Enterprises: Eligible for a margin money grant of up to ₹15 Lakh.

The government has allocated an additional budget of ₹15 Crore to support this initiative.

2. Freedom to Choose: Private Institutes for Technical Upgradation

Innovation is now more accessible than ever. Previously, entrepreneurs were restricted to government institutions for technical upgrades. Under the updated policy, ODOP units can now seek technical upgradation through private institutions as well, with a subsidy grant of up to ₹5 Lakh. This shift allows businesses to adopt cutting-edge technology and modern machinery, ultimately leading to higher quality production and lower energy consumption.

Streamlining the Path to Success

Industries and Commerce Commissioner Shri Nilabh Saxena highlighted that the application and approval process has been completely digitized to ensure transparency and efficiency. With the authority to approve applications now decentralized to District General Managers, the processing time has seen a significant reduction. Since February 1, 2026, over 350 applications have already been processed swiftly.

Furthermore, the state is investing ₹18.19 Crore across five districts to establish Common Facility Centers (CFCs), testing laboratories, and advanced storage facilities. These efforts are designed to ensure that local products not only thrive domestically but also meet stringent international quality standards.

NEW DELHI: There is an important update for the millions of farmers associated with the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. For beneficiaries awaiting the 23rd installment, it is mandatory to ensure that their documents and bank accounts are fully updated. Often, installments are stuck due to technical glitches or pending documentation; therefore, it is crucial to address these corrections in a timely manner.

When Will the 23rd Installment Be Released? (Expected Timeline)

Currently, there has been no official announcement from the government regarding the release date of the 23rd installment of PM-KISAN. However, looking at the trends of previous years, the next installment of the scheme is likely to be released between the end of June and the first week of August. Beneficiaries are advised not to pay attention to rumors and to keep track of information only on the official portal.

Important Steps to Ensure Your Installment

If you want to receive your next ₹2000 installment without interruption, ensure you complete the following procedures:

e-KYC: e-KYC is mandatory on the PM-KISAN portal. You can complete this online (via Aadhaar OTP) or by visiting your nearest Common Service Center (CSC).

Aadhaar-Bank Linking: Ensure that your bank account is linked to your Aadhaar. Do not forget to visit your bank and activate the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) mode.

Verification of Details: Carefully check your Aadhaar card, bank account details, and the name and IFSC code entered on the portal. If there is any discrepancy, get it corrected immediately.

How to Check Your Status (Step-by-Step)

First, visit the official website at pmkisan.gov.in.

Go to the ‘Farmers Corner’ section and click on ‘Know Your Status’.

Enter your registration number and the captcha code.

Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and click on ‘Get Data’.

Here, you can view your payment history, installment status, and e-KYC status.

Special Note: Farmers whose 22nd installment was stuck due to technical reasons need not worry. If you rectify your technical errors, it is likely that your previous pending installment will be released along with the 23rd installment.

JAIPUR: A high-level review meeting was held to accelerate the implementation of schemes under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department of the Rajasthan Government. Chaired by Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Mr. Dinesh Kumar, the meeting conducted an in-depth review of the progress regarding budget announcements and various public welfare programs.

Emphasis on Effective Implementation

During the meeting held at the Secretariat, Mr. Dinesh Kumar assessed the progress of budget announcements for the years 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27, alongside key financial initiatives such as the ‘Schematic Budget’ and ‘SNA-Sparsh’. The discussion focused on several critical areas:

Expeditious Disposal of Pending Tasks: Mr. Kumar directed officials to formulate a special action plan for the time-bound resolution of pending files on the ‘RajKaj’ portal and unresolved legislative assembly questions.

Monitoring of Budget Announcements: To ensure that the Chief Minister’s announcements are implemented on the ground in a timely manner, he instructed departmental officers to hold regular periodic review meetings.

Financial and Administrative Coordination: Discussing administrative issues related to central government assistance funds and land allotment, he emphasized making the administrative processes more transparent and efficient.

Progress Deemed Satisfactory

Expressing satisfaction with the functioning of the departments, the Additional Chief Secretary noted that the implementation of all schemes is currently on the right track. He directed officials to establish better coordination with the Directorate of Special Abled Persons, Anuja Nigam, and the Department of Child Empowerment to make services more accessible to the public.

The meeting was attended by the Commissioner of the Directorate of Special Abled Persons Mr. Iqbal Khan, Director of Social Justice and Empowerment Mr. Lalit Kumar, and other senior departmental officers. The government maintains a firm stance that the benefits of public welfare schemes must reach the last person in the queue, for which administrative proactivity is essential.

Karauli: The true success of governance lies in its ability to reach the last mile. In a significant move to bridge the gap between policy and people, the Rajasthan Government has intensified its ‘Gram Rath Abhiyan’ across the Karauli district. This mobile outreach initiative is designed to educate citizens about the upcoming Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet-2026 (GRAM-2026) and a myriad of public welfare schemes.

A Mission of Awareness and Empowerment

The primary objective of the Gram Rath Abhiyan is to foster trust between the state and its citizens while ensuring that information regarding development works and achievements reaches every household. By utilizing specially equipped “chariots” (Raths), the government is transforming information dissemination into a grassroots movement.

Regional Highlights: From Sapotra to Todabhim

On Wednesday, the campaign saw high engagement across multiple assembly constituencies, where local residents were encouraged to avail themselves of state benefits.

Sapotra Constituency: The campaign successfully covered the Gram Panchayats of Kashipura, Kota, Mahouli, Mamchari, Maanch, and Karsai.

Hindaun Constituency: Significant outreach was conducted in Sanet, Shri Mahaveerji, Akbarpur, and Chandangaon.

Karauli & Todabhim: In the Karauli region, the Rath visited Parita, Raghuvanshi, Keeratpura, Saypur, and Gunesara. Meanwhile, in Todabhim, the movement gained momentum in Balghat, Lapavali, Katara, Aziz, Bhopur, and Morda.

Focus on GRAM-2026: The Future of Farming

A central pillar of this campaign is the promotion of GRAM-2026. As agriculture remains the backbone of the rural economy, the Rajasthan Government is committed to modernizing the sector. The campaign focuses on:

Introducing farmers to advanced agritech and global best practices.

Encouraging diversification in crops and organic farming.

Strengthening the market-linkage for local produce to ensure better returns for farmers.

Expert Insight: The Impact of Ground-Level Outreach

From an administrative and social perspective, the Gram Rath Abhiyan serves three critical functions:

Ensuring Last-Mile Delivery: By taking the message directly to the panchayats, the government eliminates middle-man dependency, allowing citizens to understand eligibility criteria firsthand.

Building Public Confidence: Direct interaction at the village level reinforces the transparency and accountability of the state government.

Mobilizing Rural Economy: By creating awareness about ‘GRAM-2026’, the government is effectively preparing the rural workforce for an industrial and technological shift in agriculture.

Conclusion

The Gram Rath Abhiyan in Karauli is more than just a promotional campaign; it is a vehicle of change. By empowering the residents of Sapotra, Hindaun, and beyond with knowledge, the Rajasthan Government is laying the foundation for a more informed and prosperous rural society. As the wheels of these Raths turn, they carry with them the promise of a developed Rajasthan.
