Taking forward the glorious tradition of public participation and social contribution in the field of education, the ’30th State-Level Bhamashah Award Ceremony 2026′ was grandly organized at the Birla Auditorium in Jaipur on Monday. During the event, more than 276 philanthropists (Bhamashahs), motivators, and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) donors were honored for their unparalleled contributions to the education sector. These donors collectively contributed ₹318 crore during the financial year 2025-26 to strengthen the state’s educational infrastructure. A special booklet titled ‘Bhamashah Prashasti’ was also released on this occasion.

“Dedication of Wealth to Society is its True Beauty”: Deputy CM

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa stated that the day is not merely about giving awards, but a celebration of our culture and soul. “The greatest beauty of wealth lies in its dedication to society,” he said. Describing Rajasthan as the land of both brave warriors and generous donors, he remarked that while earning wealth might be a skill, utilizing it for societal welfare is a symbol of greatness. He emphasized that Rajasthan will now be recognized not only for its historic forts but also for its schools and the progress of its daughters.

Special Cell for Bhamashahs: Education Minister

Education Minister Madan Dilawar expressed his gratitude to the donors by recalling the historic sacrifices of Maharana Pratap and Bhamashah. He specifically thanked philanthropist Poonam Chand Rathi, whose financial support is aiding the construction of a Government Girls Military School in Jaimalsar, Bikaner.

The Education Minister made several key announcements:

A special cell is being established within the department to ensure transparency and resolve any issues faced by the Bhamashahs.

The School Management Committees (SMC) will now include two representatives of the Bhamashahs.

He assured the donors that every single penny of their contribution would be utilized strictly for the development of education.

Transparent Process for Strengthening Education

Rajesh Yadav, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, highlighted the Mukhyamantri Vidyadaan Kosh and the Gyan Sankalp Portal, explaining that the entire process for accepting donations has been made highly simplified and transparent. Senior officials, including Mid-Day Meal Commissioner Vishwamohan Sharma and State Project Director Dr. Rashmi Sharma, were also present at the event.

Details of the Honors Bestowed

The donors were felicitated for their noble deeds, including the construction of new buildings in government schools, the provision of physical resources, and land donations. The breakdown of the awards is as follows:

Shiksha Vibhushan: Awarded to 49 Bhamashahs

Shiksha Bhushan: Awarded to 105 Bhamashahs

Prerak Samman (Motivator Award): Awarded to 99 individuals

NRI Donors: 23 Non-Resident Indians were specially recognized for their contributions.

Conclusion: The 30th State-Level Bhamashah Award Ceremony stands as a testament to the dedication and awareness of Rajasthan’s society towards education.
Rajsamand, Rajasthan:

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister-in-charge of Rajsamand district, Dr. Premchand Bairwa, conducted a high-level review meeting with district-level officials at the Zila Parishad auditorium on Thursday. The meeting focused on the progress of various state government flagship schemes, ongoing development projects, and the status of basic amenities for the public.

Key Directives: Focus on Water and Power Infrastructure

Deputy CM Dr. Bairwa emphasized that ensuring water and electricity supply during the summer season is the state government’s top priority. He issued strict instructions to officials:

Prompt Resolution: There should be no leniency regarding electricity and water supply issues. Complaints must be resolved immediately.

Action Against Illegal Connections: Strict action must be taken against illegal water connections to ensure uninterrupted supply for the public.

Time-Bound Execution: All development projects must be completed within the stipulated timeline to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in the queue.

Review of Flagship Schemes and ‘Vande Ganga’ Campaign

Describing ‘Vande Ganga’ (a water conservation public campaign) as an ambitious project of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, Dr. Bairwa stressed the need to cultivate ‘water-consciousness’ at every level. He reviewed the progress of several major initiatives, including:

Agriculture & Rural Development: Kusum Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, and Swamitva Yojana.

Social Welfare & Women Empowerment: Lado Protsahan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, and the ‘Panch Gaurav Yojana’ (covering Lakhpati Didi, Solar Didi, Drone Didi, Bank Sakhi, etc.).

Health & Housing: Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural/Urban).

Swift Resolution of Issues Raised by Public Representatives

Member of Parliament Mahima Kumari Mewar, Rajsamand MLA Deepti Maheshwari, and Nathdwara MLA Vishvaraj Singh Mewar raised critical regional issues, including water supply from the Bagheri project and power supply infrastructure (RDSS). Dr. Bairwa took serious note of these concerns and directed officials from the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and other relevant departments to ensure their immediate resolution.

Water Conservation as a ‘Jan Andolan’

Dr. Bairwa described water as a lifeline and urged that conservation should not remain just a government task but should transform into a ‘Jan Andolan’ (people’s movement). He appealed to the youth and rural communities to take the lead in reviving traditional water sources and participating actively in rainwater harvesting efforts.
