In preparation for the upcoming Census 2027, intensive inspections were conducted across Karauli district to monitor the progress of the first phase, which includes “House Listing and Housing Census.” The oversight was carried out by officials from the Census Directorate and the district administration to ensure the accuracy and transparency of the data collection process.

Data Collection Across 2,762 Blocks

Enumerators and supervisors have been deployed across 2,762 census blocks in the district. Their primary responsibilities include preparing layout maps, marking house numbers, and collecting detailed information from families. The survey covers 33 critical parameters, including:

Availability of basic household amenities.

Total number of family members.

Number of married couples.

Materials used in house construction.

All gathered data is being recorded online through the official HLO App.

Official Inspection Details

Senior administrative officials conducted field inspections to verify the work being performed:

Friday Inspections: Deputy District Census Officer Mukesh Kumar inspected field operations in Karauli block (Kalyani, Kailadevi) and Mandrayal block (Langra, Garhi ka Gaon, and Batda).

Saturday Inspections: The review continued in Shri Mahavirji block (Chandan Gaon, Kaudiyan) and Nadauti block (Kamla, Kamri City, and Bagor).

During these visits, Assistant Director Vishal Garg and District Coordinator Himanshu Goyal reviewed the field-level progress and provided necessary guidance to the enumerators.

Emphasis on Accountability and Precision

During the inspections, it was noted that in several locations, supervisors were not providing the necessary support to the enumerators. Addressing this, the officials issued strict instructions, mandating that all supervisors remain actively present in the field and perform their duties with full responsibility. The administration has emphasized that the census is a matter of national importance, and the work must be completed in a time-bound, transparent, and error-free manner.

He issued instructions to enumerators and supervisors, emphasizing that no house, family, or individual should be left out during the work in their assigned areas.

During the inspection, the officials emphasized the following points:

Appeal for Public Cooperation

According to the administration, enumerators are going door-to-door across all districts to prepare house maps and perform the numbering of houses. Enumerators and supervisors are receiving full cooperation from the citizens. The administration has appealed to all residents to provide accurate information to the census officials, as this is a vital national undertaking.

District Coordinator Himanshu Goyal, District Census Cell team members Balkrishan Gupta and Ravi Balot, along with other concerned departmental officials, were present during the inspection.

Karauli: In a significant step toward modernizing the national census process, the first phase of Census 2027 has officially commenced in Karauli with a focus on digital self-enumeration. District Collector and Principal Census Officer, Akshay Godara, inaugurated the campaign by registering his family’s details on the official online portal, marking a shift toward a more streamlined and tech-driven data collection process.

Digital Census: A Move Towards Accuracy and Ease

While launching the drive, District Collector Akshay Godara emphasized that self-enumeration is a crucial step in making the census process more convenient and accurate in the digital age. He informed that from May 1st to May 15th, any citizen of the district can visit the official portal at https://se.census.gov.in to share their information directly.

“The digital format reduces the margin of error and allows citizens to contribute to this national task from the comfort of their homes,” Godara stated.

Administration Leads by Example

Following the Collector’s lead, several district-level officers also completed their self-enumeration on the portal. To ensure maximum participation, the Collector has issued directives to all department heads to ensure that every government employee and their family members complete their self-enumeration within the stipulated timeframe.

The administration believes that active participation from the government workforce will serve as a powerful inspiration for the general public to follow suit.

“Our Census, Our Development”: Data Privacy Assured

Addressing the residents of Karauli, the District Collector highlighted that the data collected during the census forms the bedrock for future welfare schemes, infrastructure planning, and the vision of a ‘Developed Rajasthan.’

He reassured citizens that:

All information shared on the portal is completely secure and confidential.

The data is used solely for developmental planning and national statistics.

Citizens should join the mission with the resolve of “Our Census, Our Development.”

The event saw the presence of various senior officials, including Joint Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, Gangasahay Meena, among other district-level staff.
