3.50% of Pensioners Still Await Verification During the meeting, the latest statistics regarding the state’s pension scheme were presented:

• Total Beneficiaries: Currently, about 8.9 million (89 lakh) people are receiving social security pensions in Rajasthan.
• Verification Status: Out of these, 96.50% of the beneficiaries have been successfully verified.
• Future Strategy: The remaining 3.50% of beneficiaries will be verified over the next 15 days through this special campaign.

The Minister specifically highlighted the 5 districts with the highest number of pending verification cases. To expedite the process and clear the backlog, special teams of officials from the headquarters will be dispatched to these districts.

Review of Budget Announcements and Key Schemes The meeting was not limited to pensions; the progress of several other crucial departmental schemes was also thoroughly evaluated. Mr. Gehlot reviewed a total of 50 budget announcements for the financial years 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27. Expressing satisfaction with the progress, he noted that 26 projects have been completed, 18 are under process, and work on the remaining 6 has already begun.

Furthermore, the Minister instructed officials to study successful innovations from other states so they can be implemented in Rajasthan for better public service delivery.
