Political discussions around the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have intensified in recent days. On one hand, a statement by Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has stirred the political landscape, while on the other, a viral post by X (formerly Twitter) user Suraj Kumar Bauddh has further fueled the debate online.

In his statement, Raghav Chadha claimed that by using provisions of the Constitution, more than two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs had merged with the Bharatiya Janata Party. According to him, seven MPs signed documents related to this move and submitted them to the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. He also stated that he personally accompanied two other MPs to hand over the signed documents.

Following this claim, the political atmosphere heated up significantly. Analysts suggest that if such a development takes place, it could directly impact the balance of power in the Rajya Sabha. It has also raised questions regarding the current position of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Meanwhile, a statement by X user Suraj Kumar Bauddh has also gone viral. In his post, he wrote:
“Till date, no such amount exists & no one has been born who can buy Raghav Chadha.” Times have changed for Raghav Chadha and Kejriwal. But let me be clear one thing; “Aam Adami Party is not over yet. Its leaders are simply returning to their parent party.”

"Till date, no such amount exists & no one has been born who can buy Raghav Chadha."

Times have changed for Raghav Chadha and Kejriwal. But let me be clear one thing;

"Aam Adami Party is not over yet.

This statement has triggered fresh debate on social media. While some view it as a sharp commentary on the current political situation, others see it as an indication of internal shifts within the party.

However, there has been no official confirmation regarding these claims so far. No clear responses have emerged from all concerned parties either. Therefore, the full picture of the situation is yet to be clarified.

Overall, the claims related to AAP and the reactions on social media have intensified the political atmosphere. More clarity on the matter is expected in the coming days.

The political landscape in India has once again stirred debate after seven Rajya Sabha MPs from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) reportedly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The development has triggered sharp reactions, particularly from Congress leaders, who have linked the issue to questions of social justice and representation.

Reacting to the situation, Dharmendra Kumar Jatav, National Coordinator of the AICC SC Department and Incharge of Spokespersons, raised concerns over what he described as a pattern influenced by social hierarchy. According to him, if a Dalit leader were to take such a step, they would likely face strong criticism and even rejection from their own community. However, he argued that leaders from upper-caste backgrounds often do not encounter similar resistance when shifting towards the BJP, as their social base is traditionally aligned with the party.

— Dharmendra Kr Jatav (@Dharmendra4_INC) April 25, 2026

Jatav also criticized Arvind Kejriwal for his choices in nominating members to the Rajya Sabha. He pointed out that all ten MPs sent by AAP belonged to upper-caste groups, despite the party drawing significant electoral support from SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities. He suggested that this imbalance reflected a disregard for social justice and equitable representation, which may have contributed to the party’s current political challenges.

Referring to earlier political developments, Jatav noted that many individuals who were seen alongside Kejriwal during the early days at Ramlila Maidan had eventually moved towards the BJP after electoral setbacks faced by the Congress. He claimed that this trend has continued over time, indicating a deeper connection between an individual’s social location and their political decisions.

The episode has reignited a broader discussion about caste dynamics, representation, and ideological consistency in Indian politics. As party loyalties continue to shift, the debate highlights how social structures still play a significant role in shaping political trajectories and public perception.

A significant political dispute has emerged within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) after the party removed Raghav Chadha from his position as Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. In response, Chadha released a video message stating that he has been “silenced, not defeated,” emphasizing his resolve to continue raising public issues.

Chadha asserted that he has persistently advocated for issues affecting everyday citizens in Parliament and hinted that limiting his voice does not mean ending his political efforts. He stressed that accountability and representation remain his focus, regardless of internal party changes.

However, senior AAP leaders responded with sharp criticism. They accused Chadha of hesitating to directly challenge the policies and actions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, especially on high‑profile national platforms. According to the party leadership, parliamentary time should be reserved for addressing large‑scale policy concerns rather than less impactful topics.

Party officials also suggested that Chadha’s recent parliamentary contributions did not fully align with the party’s broader political strategy. They emphasized that leadership roles require robust opposition and decisive articulation of key national issues.

Political commentators suggest that the fallout goes beyond a simple change in position and reflects deeper questions about leadership direction and opposition tactics as the political landscape evolves.
