Karauli/Mamchari. On the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, 38 people were honored at the district level by the Collector for their outstanding work.
Among them was social worker Bhanwar Singh Meena, a resident of Mamchari, who has been continuously engaged in social service for the past 3 years.Recently, he assisted BLOs (Booth Level Officers) by going door-to-door in the SIR (Special Summary Revision) process, providing free photographs and related documents to the people.
He also works to raise awareness about road safety, and during the Kaila Devi fair in the month of Chaitra, he and his team provide water, shade, and rest facilities for pilgrims, as well as first aid for their feet. He arranges for water for animals, birds, and the general public, promotes tree plantation, and motivates people to plant trees, donate blood, and organize blood donation drives.
He arranges free tempo (three-wheeler) services for candidates appearing in competitive examinations held in Karauli, facilitating their travel to and from the examination centers.
Through e-Mitra (government service centers), he provides free pension verification services to the poor, disabled, elderly, and handicapped people at their homes, and ensures that all government welfare schemes reach the common people. In this way, Bhanwar Singh Meena is doing commendable work in social service, for which he was honored with a certificate of appreciation by the Collector at the district level on Republic Day 2026.
Social worker Bhanwar Singh Meena says that his village’s youth team and his friends provide him with all possible support, and it is because of them that he has received this honor.
