Jaipur: Action taken against illegal mining in Aravalli region on the instructions of Jaipur Collector

Jaipur, Rajasthan – A major crackdown was carried out on Monday as part of a joint campaign led by District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni to effectively control illegal mining and the illegal transportation of minerals in the Aravalli mountain range in Jaipur district.

Mineral Engineer Shyam Choudhary stated that coordinated teams from the district administration, the Mineral Department, and the Police Department conducted simultaneous operations in various police station areas, seizing heavy machinery and transport vehicles used in illegal mining.

Sixteen vehicles, including two excavators, were seized in the crackdown against illegal mining and the illegal transportation of minerals.

Two excavators and three tractor-trolleys were seized from village Bawadi, Tehsil Kalwad, in the Khoda Vishal police station area, involved in illegal mining of masonry stone.

In the Shivdaspura police station area, a dumper was seized for illegally transporting gravel and two tractor-trolleys were seized for illegally transporting masonry stone.

He stated that two tractor-trolleys were seized while illegally transporting crushed stone in the Kotkhavda police station area, and one tractor-trolley involved in the illegal transportation of minerals was seized in the Fagi police station area. Additionally, two tractor-trolleys involved in the illegal transportation of gravel and one tractor-trolley used for the illegal transportation of crushed stone were seized in the Mokhampura police station area.

As part of the ongoing campaign against illegal mineral transportation, one tractor-trolley was seized while illegally transporting crushed stone in the Galta Gate police station area, and one tractor-trolley was seized while illegally transporting gravel in the Khoda Vishal police station area.

District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, in a meeting with relevant officials on Sunday, issued strict instructions to ensure that any type of illegal mining that harms the ecology of the Aravalli region is not tolerated under any circumstances and strict action is taken.

Strict action will continue against those involved in illegal mining, as per the rules, and such joint campaigns will be conducted in the future.
