Bundi, Rajasthan | The new year will be a year of new resolutions for development, and you will see the results of the efforts we have initiated for Bundi’s development. It is our resolve that Bundi becomes a leader in development and establishes its identity as a tourist destination nationally and internationally.
A plan has been formulated for Bundi’s all-round development in accordance with public expectations, and in the coming years, Bundi will establish a new identity in the fields of development, tourism, agriculture, and industry.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla made this statement while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Town Hall and various road development works by the Municipal Council in Bundi on Thursday.
Birla said that Bundi will gain a new national recognition in the field of eco-tourism through the Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve. For the first time, a tigress was brought by helicopter through an interstate airlift, which demonstrates Bundi’s potential.
Bundi will benefit the most from the airport.
Birla stated that we had submitted a proposal for a new greenfield airport, Kota-Bundi. Flights will commence from the airport in 2027, and the air connectivity will greatly benefit Bundi’s industrial development and tourism. Along with the expressway, unprecedented work is underway in the field of rural road connectivity. All approvals for the Namana-Silor road have been received from the Forest Department, and construction will begin this month.
Tap Water to Reach Every Home
The Lok Sabha Speaker stated that the Garada and Naunera projects will ensure drinking water supply to every household within the next two years. The Garada Canal Project, which had been stalled for years due to forest clearance, has also gained momentum, and work on the canals will commence soon. The AMRUT 2.0 urban plan will provide drinking water supply to every colony in Bundi.

Bundi has emerged as a hub for the agricultural industry.
Birla stated that efforts to develop Bundi into an agricultural hub have been a major success. A Mother Dairy food processing plant is being established, and 19 agro-plants have already been established in the Taleda area alone, propelling Bundi into the agro-industry landscape. An agro-tech fair will be organized to connect farmers with modern farming techniques, providing them with training and information on new agricultural techniques. A stone park will also be constructed soon to promote sandstone.
A Ramashraya (Rama Ashray) will be built for attendants.
Work on the hospital is also underway. Within a year, treatment for all major ailments will be possible at the Bundi hospital, eliminating the need to travel to Kota and Jaipur. A Rama Ashray (Rama Ashray) will be built for attendants accompanying patients, providing accommodation and free meals. Hospitals in major towns are also being developed. Bundi is becoming a leader in sports facilities, with an investment of 20 crore rupees to expand the facilities.
Visit Mandhata Balaji Temple
Speaker Birla visited the Mandhata Balaji Temple before the event and sought blessings. He said that with the blessings of Mandhata Balaji Maharaj, the new year has begun with development and new resolutions. The Mandhata Balaji Temple premises have been developed, and a large number of devotees are arriving for darshan. Soon, facilities for devotees will be developed here with an investment of 46 lakh rupees.
A fully equipped auditorium was presented.
During the program, development works worth 29 crore rupees were inaugurated. The Town Hall, built at a cost of 20 crore rupees, has a seating capacity of 800 people. Twelve rooms and two additional halls have also been constructed. The Town Hall will become a hub for social, cultural, educational, and public activities. It will be useful for various events, conferences, cultural programs, and public interactions.
Additionally, concrete roads constructed at a cost of approximately 9 crore rupees were inaugurated.
The Changing Face of Bundi
Former MLAs Ashok Dogra and Chandrakanta Meghwal said that due to Speaker Birla’s efforts, new dimensions of development are being established in Bundi district. The double-engine government is fulfilling the dreams of the people of Bundi.
Municipal Council Chairman Saroj Agarwal said that in accordance with Speaker Birla’s vision, the entire team is striving to make Bundi clean, hygienic, and tourist-friendly. District President Rameshwar Meena also addressed the event. Bharat Sharma, Rajesh Rajpuriya, Rakesh Sharma, and others were also present.
