Gram Rath Campaign Highlights Farmer’s Success Story: Government Schemes Become a Lifeline for Sohanlal

Kishangarh-Renwal (Jaipur) | May 12, 2026

The ‘Gram Rath Campaign’, launched by the state government to promote the ‘Rajasthan Global Agri-Tech Meet-2026’ and raise awareness about public welfare schemes, is effectively reaching the heart of rural Rajasthan. During a ‘Sandhya Chaupal’ (evening community meeting) held on Monday in Harsoli Gram Panchayat, the success story of a local farmer, Mr. Sohanlal, came to the forefront.

The Challenge: Dependency and Crop Loss

Sohanlal, a resident of Kishanpura village, shared that his family has been engaged in farming for generations. However, they consistently faced a major hurdle:

  • Delayed Operations: Due to the unavailability of rented farm machinery during peak seasons, sowing and harvesting were often delayed.
  • Economic Impact: These delays led to significant damage to fodder and crop quality, reducing the family’s total income.

The Turning Point: Agricultural Machinery Subsidy Scheme

During a training program organized by the Agriculture Department, Sohanlal learned about the Agricultural Machinery Subsidy Scheme.

  1. Application: He applied through the department.
  2. Financial Support: Upon purchasing the necessary equipment, the department credited the approved subsidy amount directly to him.
  3. Self-Reliance: With his own advanced machinery, he moved away from his dependency on rentals.

The Result: Increased Production and Income

Sohanlal reported that having his own equipment has allowed him to complete farming tasks with precision and perfect timing. This has resulted in higher yields and a notable increase in his annual income. He expressed his deep gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and the Agriculture Department for this transformative support.

Conclusion: Spreading Awareness through ‘Gram Rath’

In the presence of Tehsildar Komal Yadav and Block Development Officer Chhoturam Meena, Sohanlal encouraged other farmers in the district to step forward and benefit from these government initiatives. The Gram Rath campaign continues to serve as a bridge between the administration and the rural population, ensuring that the fruits of governance reach the last mile.
