Delhi: 32 bulldozers were deployed in Delhi at midnight to remove encroachments.

Delhi Bulldozer Action: MCD bulldozer action was witnessed near Turkman Gate in Delhi at midnight. Following the Delhi High Court’s directive, the MCD launched the encroachment removal drive at night. Some people also threw stones, but the situation was brought under control with the help of the police.

Case registered –

Delhi Police have registered an FIR against unidentified individuals in connection with the stone-pelting incident at Turkman Gate. Police have also detained approximately 10 people. Police are identifying the stone-throwers using CCTV footage and body camera recordings. The FIR is currently against unidentified individuals, of which the police have identified four to five individuals.

32 JCBs deployed to remove encroachment

City SP Zone Deputy Commissioner Vivek Aggarwal said, “This action was taken following a court order. The operation lasted overnight and involved a 4,000-square-meter structure, and 32 JCBs were used to demolish it. We will try to clear the debris by tomorrow. No one was injured during the stone-pelting. The police did a great job and controlled the situation.”
