How to apply for a birth certificate online using your mobile phone?
The birth certificate application process is available on the website of the Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner. Please note: registration must be completed within 21 days of birth.
Step 1: Sign up on the website
First, go to the government portal and enter your mobile number, email address, place of birth, state, district, etc. on the sign-up page and register by entering the captcha.
Step 2: Log in and download the registration form
After signing in, download the birth certificate form. You can also print it and fill it out offline.If the birth took place in a hospital, the form can also be obtained there.
Step 3: Fill out the form and submit it within 21 days
Fill in all the required information correctly on the form and submit it to the relevant registrar’s office. The registrar’s address is also provided on the application.
Step 4: Submit documents and receive confirmation
After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation message in your email. After the registrar verifies the birth details, your birth certificate is issued.

To download a birth certificate, visit the municipal corporation website of the city where the child was born. For example, if the birth occurred in New Delhi:
Step 1: Open the official website of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi in a mobile browser.
Step 2: Select the “Online Services” option on the home page.
Step 3: Select “Birth Certificate” from the list.
Step 4: Enter information such as application number or parent’s name, date of birth, and place of birth.
Step 5: Search and the birth record will appear. Select it.
Step 6: Click on “Get Certificate,” fill in your contact details, and download the certificate.
After this, you can also print it if you wish.
