Vivo V70 Elite Launch:
Vivo is gearing up to introduce its latest V-series smartphones in India today. The company will unveil two new models — the Vivo V70 and the all-new Vivo V70 Elite — expanding its premium mid-range portfolio. These devices arrive as successors to last year’s V60 lineup and are expected to bring notable upgrades in performance, design, and camera capabilities.
The launch event will begin at 12 PM IST and will be streamed live on Vivo India’s official YouTube channel.
Expected Pricing in India
According to early reports, the Vivo V70 5G could start at ₹45,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The higher 12GB + 256GB version is likely to be priced at ₹49,999. The handset is expected to be available in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow color options.
The more premium Vivo V70 Elite may start at ₹51,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. Additional configurations could include:
- 12GB + 256GB – ₹56,999
- 12GB + 512GB – ₹61,999
Color options for the Elite variant are tipped to include Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Vivo V70 Elite is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, positioning it as the more powerful option in the lineup. The standard Vivo V70, on the other hand, is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.
Both smartphones are expected to run on Android 16-based OriginOS 6, offering the latest software experience with improved customization and performance enhancements.
Display and Battery
The V70 series is said to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Reports suggest a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits and a pixel density of 459 ppi, promising sharp visuals and excellent outdoor visibility.
Battery capacity is expected to be 6,500mAh on both devices, supported by 90W wired fast charging.
Camera Features
Photography appears to be a major highlight of the V70 series. Both models are expected to come equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The camera setup may also include:
- 50MP telephoto lens
- Ultra-wide camera (specifications yet to be detailed)
On the front, users can expect a 50MP selfie camera for high-resolution self-portraits and video calls.
Slim Bezels in Premium Mid-Range Segment
Vivo is reportedly positioning the V70 series as one of the slimmest-bezel smartphones in the sub-₹50,000 category. If confirmed, this could give the devices a strong edge in terms of design and screen-to-body ratio.
More details, including official pricing and availability, will be confirmed during today’s launch event.
