Vaibhav Suryavanshi received the National Child Award, honored by President Murmu

National Child Award, – Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old cricketer from Bihar, has been awarded the Prime Minister’s National Child Award. President Draupadi Murmu presented Suryavanshi with the award. Following the ceremony, Vaibhav also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who praised him. The award is given to children between the ages of five and 18, making it the highest civilian honor for children in this age group.

Vaibhav was awarded in the sports category.

The award is given annually for outstanding achievements in various categories, including bravery, art and culture, environment, innovation, science and technology, social service, and sports. Vaibhav was awarded in the sports category. Left-handed batsman Vaibhav is expected to join the rest of the Indian Under-19 team and leave for Zimbabwe as they prepare for the upcoming Under-19 World Cup, which begins on January 15.

Vaibhav has impressed with his performance

Vaibhav Suryavanshi recently captured the cricket world’s attention when he became the youngest batsman to score a century in List A cricket. In a Vijay Hazare Trophy match, he played an explosive innings of 190 runs off just 84 balls. He hit 15 sixes and reached his century in just 36 balls. His innings completely bewildered the bowlers.

Strong Performance in Rising Stars and IPL

Vaibhav was a key player for the India A team in the Rising Stars Asia Cup held in Doha this year. Although India lost in the semi-finals, Vaibhav scored 239 runs in the tournament, including a century off 32 balls against the UAE. Vaibhav, who made his Ranji debut at just 12 years old, also made headlines across the country playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. In his first IPL season, he maintained a strike rate of 206.55 and became the youngest IPL centurion by scoring 101 runs off 38 balls against the Gujarat Titans, setting the record for the second-fastest century in IPL history.

He broke Yusuf Pathan’s record for the fastest IPL century by an Indian. Vaibhav completed his century off 35 balls, while Yusuf had scored a century off 37 balls in 2010.

Vaibhav was included in the Indian Under-19 team for the Asia Cup.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi had a rough day in the recently concluded Under-19 Asia Cup final against Pakistan. Chasing a big target, he was dismissed for 26 runs off 10 balls. However, he overcame this disappointment and shone in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Vaibhav had scored the fourth-fastest century in List A cricket for India.
