Education
He completed his early education in Uttar Pradesh. He received his formal training in film and acting from the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), Noida.
It was during his studies at AAFT that he first got the opportunity to join the film industry. Uttar Kumar has repeatedly stated that he is deeply indebted to this institute because it was here that his career truly began.

His first film, Dhaakad Chhora, released in 2004, proved to be a milestone for Haryanvi cinema. Made on a budget of just 4.5 lakhs, the film grossed 8.5 crores. Audiences loved the film so much that it was called Sholay of Haryanvi cinema.
