A massive traffic jam brought Nadbai town in Bharatpur district to a standstill on Friday morning after a sand-laden dumper broke down near the railway gate. The incident occurred around 7:30 AM, severely affecting morning commuters, including school children and office-goers.

The dumper driver reported that he was en route to Deeg carrying a load of construction sand when a mechanical failure—specifically a broken “murga” (local term for a critical joint or axle)—forced the vehicle to halt in the middle of the narrow road. The breakdown led to long queues of vehicles on both sides, with traffic piling up rapidly.

Locals explained that the railway gate area is already a high-traffic zone due to frequent rail crossings. The dumper breakdown worsened the situation, causing complete gridlock for several hours. Many commuters complained about significant delays, with some stating they reached their destinations hours late.

Police arrived at the spot after receiving information and began managing the traffic, but clearing the heavy dumper took time. Residents demanded strict action against overloaded vehicles, stating that such breakdowns frequently lead to traffic chaos in the area.
