Addressing a state-level function at the Birla Auditorium in Jaipur on Sunday, the Chief Minister stated that Devi Ahilyabai’s ideals of service, justice, and good governance are the driving forces behind the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) and ‘Viksit Rajasthan’ (Developed Rajasthan).

During the grand ceremony, the Chief Minister also released a special book based on the life of Ahilyabai Holkar and made several significant announcements for the upliftment of nomadic communities.

A Legacy of Cultural Renaissance and Leadership

Recalling her historical contributions, the Chief Minister noted that Ahilyabai Holkar was not only known for her administrative brilliance and military leadership—such as forming a women’s military battalion—but also for her dedication to preserving Indian culture. She played a pivotal role in the restoration of numerous pilgrimage sites across the country, including the Kashi Vishwanath temple and the ghats of Pushkar.

Connecting her legacy to the present day, CM Sharma remarked that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation is witnessing a similar cultural renaissance. He cited the construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and the redevelopment of Kedarnath Dham and Mahakal Lok as prime examples of this ongoing revival.

Major Announcements for Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes

Underscoring his government’s commitment to the welfare of the most marginalized sections of society, the Chief Minister made key announcements:

School on Wheels: To ensure that education reaches the children of these moving communities, the government has recently announced the ‘School on Wheels’ initiative.

Transformation of Pilgrimage Sites and Religious Tourism

The state government is actively working on the development of major religious and spiritual centers across Rajasthan.

Intensive development work is underway at prominent temples, including Mehandipur Balaji, Khatushyamji, Tirtharaj Pushkar, Salasar Balaji, and Shrinathji.

Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme: Under this initiative, over 91,000 elderly citizens have already been taken on pilgrimages. This year, the government is sending 6,000 senior citizens to Pashupatinath (Nepal) via air travel, while 50,000 pilgrims will travel to various holy sites across India via AC trains.

Historic Steps for Farmers and Livestock Keepers

Praising the Baghel, Gadari, and Dhangar communities for their immense contributions to agriculture and animal husbandry, the Chief Minister highlighted several welfare schemes:

Gopal Credit Card Scheme: Providing easy and accessible credit facilities to livestock rearers.

Subsidies and Security: Milk producers are receiving a subsidy of ₹5 per liter. Additionally, the government is ensuring the health and safety of livestock through mobile veterinary units and animal insurance schemes.

An Appeal to Join the ‘Vande Ganga’ Water Conservation Campaign

Addressing the critical issue of water scarcity, the Chief Minister urged the people of the state to actively participate in the ‘Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan-Abhiyan’ (Water Conservation Public Campaign), which commenced on May 25 (Ganga Dussehra). Under this campaign, the cleaning, repair, and rejuvenation of water bodies are being carried out on a war footing across the state.

Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham and Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore also addressed the gathering. The event witnessed the presence of Ahilyabai Holkar’s descendant Uday Singh Raje Holkar, State President of the Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes Federation Dushyant Singh Baghel, along with several public representatives and dignitaries from the Gadariya, Gadri, Gayari, Dhangar, Pal, Baghel, and Holkar communities.

A press conference was organized today by the District Congress Committee in Dholpur. The event was attended by Women Reservation Bill campaign in-charge and former MLA Shafia Zubair, Karauli–Dholpur MP Bhajanlal Jatav, Dholpur MLA Shobharani Kushwaha, Rajakhera MLA Rohit Bohra, and former Congress candidate from Bari constituency Prashant Parmar, along with several women representatives and party workers.

During the press conference, the leaders demanded that under the Women Reservation Bill, 33% of the 543 Lok Sabha seats—approximately 181 seats—should be reserved for women. They also stressed that 33% reservation should be ensured in all State Legislative Assemblies. Additionally, they demanded equal representation for women within SC and ST reserved seats as well.

The leaders highlighted that under the leadership of former Prime Minister Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot, significant steps were taken to strengthen women empowerment and increase their participation in the Panchayati Raj system. They also noted that in 2010, the Women Reservation Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha during the UPA government, marking an important milestone for women’s political rights.

It was further stated that while women are currently receiving 33% to 50% reservation in Panchayats and urban local bodies, there is a need to effectively implement similar provisions in Parliament and State Assemblies.

The leaders collectively urged the government to implement the Women Reservation Bill without delay, ensuring dignity, equality, and fair political representation for women across the country.

The workshop held in Pali made the students aware of the dangers of violence against women and child marriage and gave the message of strengthening child rights.

Pali District, Rajasthan – Under the direction of Bhagirath, Deputy Director of the Women’s Empowerment Department, a workshop was organized on Friday at the Government Higher Secondary School, Jawadia (Pali), as part of the 100-day special awareness campaign for gender sensitization and the “Child Marriage Free India” campaign.

The program aimed to make students aware of violence against women, its ill effects, and the dangers of child marriage. At the workshop, Gender Specialist Rajshree from the District Hub for Empowerment of Women elaborated on the types, causes, and serious consequences of violence against women at various stages of life. Rajshree explained that violence against women not only causes physical, mental, and economic harm, but also hinders the progress of society. Additionally, under the “Child Marriage Free India” campaign, he emphasized the devastating consequences of child marriage, such as health problems, educational deprivation, domestic violence, and increased child mortality.

He urged students to remain vigilant and shared helpline numbers to report incidents of child marriage or child abuse in their vicinity. Among these are Childline 1098 and Women’s Helpline 181. He also advised immediate notification of the local Panchayat or Municipality so that timely action can be taken. The specialist emphasized that only through collective efforts can we build a child marriage-free society. School Vice Principal Vivek Chitara, teachers Ramesh Kumar, Shravan Kumar, Pawan Kawar, Usha Bangar, and Gayatri Sangtani actively participated in the program. Approximately 37 boys and girls took an oath against child marriage, and all participants pledged to speak out against such practices in their surroundings.

This workshop served as the first step in a 100-day special campaign that will play a crucial role in strengthening women’s empowerment and child rights across the district.

Amid rising incidents of caste-based discrimination, gender violence, and social inequality, the Political Justice Party (PJP) has sent a comprehensive memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding urgent institutional reforms to prevent atrocities against Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and women.

The memorandum, signed by PJP Founder Dr. B.P. Ashok and Party President Rajesh Siddharth, highlights alarming data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) 2023 report, supported by serious judicial observations from the Supreme Court and High Courts across the country.

Rising Atrocity Statistics

59,311 cases of atrocities against Scheduled Castes, with Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh reporting the highest numbers.

10,064 cases of crimes against Scheduled Tribes, mainly from Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.

Over 445,000 crimes against women, including domestic violence, sexual abuse, and trafficking.

Conviction rate under the SC/ST Atrocities Act remains below 30%, with over 90% of cases pending trial.

Serious Judicial Concerns

The party emphasized that multiple judgments by top courts underscore a critical truth: punitive laws alone are not enough. Without awareness, community participation, and accountability, the cycle of violence cannot be effectively broken.

Key Strategic Proposals

The memorandum proposes a comprehensive, preventive, and community-driven model, with specific roles for different sectors:

1. Educational Reforms

Introduce curriculum focusing on equality, constitutional values, and anti-discrimination principles.

Organize monthly awareness sessions on SC/ST laws, POCSO Act, and the Domestic Violence Act.

Establish school-level grievance redressal systems with administrative support.

2. Panchayat & Local Governance

Conduct quarterly public hearings on caste/gender violence.

Provide self-defense training and legal literacy for SC/ST and marginalized communities.

Appoint a Social Justice Monitor at every panchayat level.

Implement an “Atrocity-Free Panchayat Index” with reward-based incentives.

3. Religious & Spiritual Leadership

Encourage priests, monks, imams, and clergy to promote gender respect and caste harmony in their discourses.

Launch a “Faith for Equality” campaign, to challenge regressive and discriminatory interpretations in religion.

4. Media & Digital Outreach

Utilize MyGov, Doordarshan, and All India Radio to share inspirational stories of justice, leadership, and empowerment.

Promote community radio in local languages for legal rights awareness in rural areas.

Implementation Framework

Coordinated efforts from the Ministries of Social Justice, Women & Child Development, and Panchayati Raj.

Use of SCSP/TSP budget allocations for educational and preventive programs.

Formation of a National Social Justice Council, involving retired judges, grassroots activists, and civil society organizations.

Conclusion

The Political Justice Party has emphasized that caste and gender-based violence is not merely a law-and-order issue—it is deeply embedded in societal attitudes, traditional structures, and institutional failures.

The party has called upon the Central Government to enact and enforce this inclusive and preventive framework in alignment with the constitutional principles of equality, liberty, fraternity, and dignity.
