The Nahargarh Biological Park in Rajasthan’s capital, Jaipur, has emerged as a major destination for wildlife enthusiasts. On Sunday, June 21, a massive crowd of over 5,000 visitors flocked to the park, drawn by the pleasant weather and the weekend holiday. The crowning jewel of the day was the newly launched White Tiger Safari—the first of its kind in Rajasthan—where tourists got a chance to witness the majestic white tiger ‘Bheem’ and his golden sister, tigress ‘Skandhi’, roaming freely in their natural habitat.

Key Highlights of the Report:

Nahargarh Biological Park becomes the first reserve in Rajasthan to operate a dedicated White Tiger Safari.

A total of 5,324 tourists visited the biological park during the Sunday weekend rush.

White tiger ‘Bheem’ and golden tigress ‘Skandhi’ have been successfully shifted from standard enclosures to the open safari zone.

The Forest Department implemented strict monitoring and seamless management to ensure a safe experience for visitors.

Captivating Lion and Tiger Safaris

According to official statistics, a total of 5,324 tourists visited the biological park on Sunday. Among them, around 261 to 277 thrill-seekers opted for the exclusive Lion and Tiger safaris. The sight of lions in their royal posture and the echoing roars of tigers left the visitors spellbound, making it a memorable weekend getaway for families and nature lovers.

Bheem and Skandhi Enliven the Safari Area

Nahargarh has earned a unique distinction as the only reserve in Rajasthan to offer a dedicated White Tiger Safari. Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Devendra Singh Rathore revealed that white tiger Bheem and golden tigress Skandhi were previously kept in standard enclosures within the biological park.

To enhance the wildlife viewing experience, they have now been shifted to the open safari zone, where they are released alternately for public viewing. Watching these rare big cats explore the open terrain has significantly boosted the park’s appeal, turning the safari area into a vibrant hub.

Tight Security and Seamless Management by the Forest Department

In anticipation of the heavy weekend rush, the Forest Department implemented comprehensive security and crowd-management measures. Under the guidance of Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) Vijaypal Singh, the tourism management team ensured smooth operations on the ground.

ACF Devendra Singh Rathore and Ranger Shubham Sharma personally monitored the safari tracks, ticketing counters, vehicle deployments, and cleanliness protocols. Thanks to these proactive measures, Nahargarh Biological Park has solidified its reputation as one of the state’s premier, safest, and most educational eco-tourism destinations.

Conclusion: The successful rollout of the white tiger safari marks a significant milestone for wildlife tourism in Rajasthan. By blending environmental conservation with recreational education, the park offers an unparalleled look into the lives of these magnificent predators, promising a sustainable future for local eco-tourism.
