Russia Reacts Positively to Dialogue

Diplomatic sources indicate that in such negotiations, nothing is considered final until every issue is agreed upon. As a result, further discussions are expected to continue next weekend to address remaining matters and refine the framework of cooperation.

NATO Chief to Brief European Parliament

Meanwhile, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is scheduled to appear before the European Parliament later today. He is expected to provide details about his recent discussions with former US President Donald Trump, including issues related to Greenland and broader plans for Arctic security.

EU–US Trade Agreement Under Review

At the same time, the European Parliament’s trade committee will deliberate on whether to move forward with the implementation of the EU–US trade agreement concluded last summer or to delay the process. The decision may depend on Washington’s recent signals regarding tariffs and its stance on Greenland.

EU Plans to Strengthen Presence in Greenland

In a separate development, the European Union is likely to outline new investment plans aimed at increasing its strategic presence in Greenland. European Commissioner for Partnerships Jozef Síkela is currently visiting Denmark, where discussions on this initiative are expected to take place.
