Massive Blow to Liquor Mafia: In a major enforcement success aimed at dismantling the production network, the excise preventive squads raided multiple brewing hotbeds and destroyed 5,57,174 liters of ‘wash’ (the raw base material used to manufacture illicit liquor) on the spot.

93 Vehicles Impounded in Smuggling Net

To choke the supply chain and transportation of illegal liquor, tight blockades were set up on major transit routes. A total of 93 vehicles used for smuggling were confiscated during the drive:

• Three-Wheelers (Auto-rickshaws): 1

Strict Enforcement of the ‘Zero Tolerance’ Policy

Excise Commissioner Mr. Namit Mehta reiterated that the department is functioning under a strict ‘zero tolerance’ policy against illegal liquor syndicates. All Additional Excise Commissioner Zones, Deputy Excise Commissioners, District Excise Officers, Excise Inspectors, and the Excise Preventive Force have been deployed on the ground to ensure round-the-clock vigilance, intensive patrolling, and swift raid execution.
