Case Details

According to the police, on June 13, 2025, the victim’s father lodged a complaint at the Surauth police station, reporting the abduction and gang-rape of his minor daughter. Based on the complaint, the police immediately initiated action and, during the investigation, recovered the victim from Bharatpur. Preliminary investigations revealed that three main accused were involved in this heinous crime, one of whom is the local sarpanch, Vinod Jakhad.

Arrest of the Accused

The Surauth police acted swiftly and arrested the two main accused who were on the run, Vinod Jakhad and Murari Lal Gurjar. Vinod Jakhad, the sarpanch of Mavanda Gram Panchayat in Sikar district, was apprehended after a chase of approximately one kilometer by the Hindaun City police. The second accused, Murari Lal Gurjar, is a resident of Khuntkheda in Bayana. Earlier, the police had already arrested the third accused, Lajjaram Gurjar.

According to police sources, several criminal cases are already registered against sarpanch Vinod Jakhad, which further underscores the gravity of this incident. The investigation is being led by Surauth police station in-charge Mahesh Kumar, and the interrogation of the accused is ongoing to uncover all aspects of the incident.
