The Rajasthan government has intensified its preparations to conduct the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination in a completely transparent and secure manner on June 21. Following a high-level review meeting chaired by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan on Monday, strict directives have been issued regarding paper security, logistics, and law enforcement to ensure a foolproof and fair examination for over 2 lakh candidates across 27 cities in the state.

Key Highlights of the Report

The NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam will be held on June 21 from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM across 27 cities in Rajasthan.

The state government has launched a dedicated ‘Anti-Cheating Helpline’ (9530429258) for immediate reporting of any malpractices.

Over 2.09 lakh medical aspirants from the state will appear for this crucial entrance test.

Special vigilance and enhanced police deployment will be enforced in sensitive districts to prevent any irregularities.

High-Level Security and Continuous Monitoring

To prevent any lapses, both the Central and State governments are operating on high alert. The crucial review meeting led by the Union Home Secretary saw participation from Chief Secretaries and Director Generals of Police (DGPs) across the country. A comprehensive action plan was formulated focusing on the secure transportation of examination materials and foolproof center security. In Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Chief Secretary V. Srinivas are personally monitoring the arrangements. They have already directed district collectors and police superintendents to execute all preparations within strict timelines.

Futures of 2.09 Lakh Students at Stake

According to the state’s Chief Secretary, approximately 2.09 lakh students will sit for this highly competitive medical entrance test. Given the massive scale of the event, the NTA has designated examination centers in 27 cities across Rajasthan. To enforce NTA guidelines strictly at the grassroots level, special District Level Coordination Committees (DLCC) have been constituted. These committees are tasked with managing security layouts, movement plans, and seamless coordination among all stakeholders.

Anti-Cheating Helpline Issued to Curb Malpractice

Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary of the Medical Education Department, stated that the local administration has been instructed to keep a hawk’s eye on suspicious activities and take immediate, strict action against any irregularities. Extra police forces will be deployed in highly sensitive areas and cities with a high density of examination centers. Furthermore, to ensure absolute fairness, the state government has introduced a dedicated ‘Anti-Cheating Helpline Number’—9530429258. Candidates and citizens can immediately contact this number to report any complaints, inconveniences, or suspicious activities related to the exam.
