Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s last monarch, has called on Western countries to take a more active role against Iran’s current leadership, while also expressing disappointment over the lack of official engagement during his recent visit to Germany.

Speaking at a press conference in Berlin, Pahlavi said that political change in Iran is inevitable, but questioned how many lives would be lost if global powers continued to remain passive. He accused European nations of failing to respond effectively to the Iranian government’s actions, particularly in light of recent protests in which many people reportedly lost their lives.

During his visit, demonstrations both supporting and opposing him took place in Berlin. Tensions briefly escalated when an individual threw a red-colored liquid at him, leading to one detention.

Pahlavi, who has lived in exile for decades, has recently gained attention as a possible opposition figure following widespread protests across Iran. However, opposition groups remain divided, and international support for his leadership remains uncertain.

He also criticized the current diplomatic efforts involving Iranian officials, describing them as part of the same governing system responsible for suppressing citizens. According to him, negotiations alone cannot resolve the deeper issues within the country.

Addressing European leaders, Pahlavi urged them to reconsider their approach and avoid legitimizing Iran’s current leadership. He called for stronger measures, including distancing diplomatic ties and preparing to support a future transitional government if it emerges.

He further argued that a political transformation in Iran could help reduce tensions across the Middle East and contribute to regional stability. At the same time, he warned that continuing with the present system could lead to prolonged conflict and instability.

His remarks come at a time when efforts to resolve the broader conflict involving Iran appear to be at a standstill, adding further urgency to international discussions on the country’s future.

Amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran, the White House says the US Navy may escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard global energy supplies, as markets react to escalating conflict.

United States, Donald Trump : Ever since the war between Israel and Iran started, Asian, Middle East and some western countries are in great tension. As soon as the war started, Iran had announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, due to which the Middle East countries, which export oil and gas, and the Asian and Western countries, which import oil and gas, came into tension. Meanwhile, very relieving news has come from America.

The White House has said that if necessary, the United States can deploy naval security forces for oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The conflict with Iran has raised concerns about global energy supplies and shipping security in one of the world’s most important sea corridors. 15 to 20 million barrels of crude oil and gas are exported through Hormuz.

During a White House briefing, Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt said the US is keeping a close eye on oil markets and maritime traffic as Operation Epic Fury continues against Iran. They said that President Donald Trump has already taken steps to stabilize energy markets and protect ships in the Gulf region. The US Development Finance Corporation will provide political risk insurance for crude oil carriers and cargo ships operating in and around the Gulf region.

He said that in case the security of ships deteriorates, the US Navy can also intervene directly. President Trump has said that if necessary, the US Navy will start escorting tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. The purpose of this step is to prevent disruption in global oil flows due to the intensification of the conflict with Iran. This waterway plays a central role in global energy markets.

The Strait of Hormuz controls 20 percent of the world’s global oil supply. The White House said the administration is working closely with its economic and energy teams to mitigate the economic impact of the conflict. Leavitt said, ‘With respect to oil prices and the domestic economy, certainly, this is an issue that the National Economic Energy Council, led by Finance Minister Scott Besant, Energy Minister Chris Wright and Doug Burgum, has worked on for a long time.’

US officials believe the economy can absorb temporary shocks arising from the conflict. He said the President and his economic team believe the economy remains very strong. It is robust and will be able to withstand any temporary impact of Operation Epic Fury.

The White House said that iran The recent action against may ultimately improve the stability of global energy markets. Leavitt argued that the conflict would reduce Tehran’s influence over ships passing through the strategic waterway. He said, ‘I think this explains why this action was so necessary, because ultimately the energy industry will benefit from the President’s action regarding Iran.’

Iran will no longer be able to threaten ships passing through this area. He said, ‘Iran will no longer be able to control the Strait of Hormuz and restrict the free flow of energy.’ Oil prices rose slightly after the conflict began, raising concerns about inflation and fuel costs in major importing countries.

Iran Israel News : Tensions across the Middle East have sharply escalated following reports of the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in Israeli airstrikes. The development has intensified hostilities involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, with the conflict spreading beyond borders and drawing in neighboring countries.

Heavy Casualties Reported in Lebanon

Lebanon has suffered significant losses amid the ongoing strikes. According to figures released by the Lebanese government, at least 52 people have been killed and 154 others injured in Israeli attacks. Earlier reports from the Health Ministry had listed 31 fatalities and 149 injured, but the numbers have since risen.

Lebanon’s Disaster and Management Unit stated that bombings in southern and eastern parts of the country, as well as in the southern suburbs of Beirut, have forced more than 28,500 people to flee their homes. Rescue operations and emergency relief efforts are continuing as authorities assess the damage.

Indian National Confirmed Dead in Gulf Tanker Incident

In a separate but related development, an Indian national has lost his life amid the broader conflict. The incident occurred near the coast of Muscat province in the Gulf of Oman, where an oil tanker was targeted. Reports indicate that an explosive-laden boat collided with the vessel, sparking a major fire.

All 21 crew members aboard the tanker were rescued, but one individual succumbed to injuries. Officials have now confirmed that the deceased was of Indian origin.

U.S. Diplomatic Services Suspended in Pakistan

Due to heightened security concerns, the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, along with its consulates in Lahore and Karachi, has canceled all visa appointments through Friday, March 6. Authorities cited the current security environment in Pakistan as the reason for the temporary suspension of services.

Conflicting Claims Over Military Casualties

The United States has acknowledged the deaths of six of its service members in the ongoing operations. However, Iranian officials have claimed that as many as 650 American soldiers have been killed — a figure that has not been independently verified.

As the situation continues to evolve, regional and global powers are closely monitoring developments, fearing that the conflict could widen further and destabilize the entire Middle East.
