JAIPUR: In a major stride toward reinforcing the socio-economic and legal empowerment of women, the district administration of Jaipur successfully organized the ‘Nari Chaupal-Nari Shakti Vandan’ program on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Held simultaneously across district and block levels, the mass campaign specifically aims to foster grassroots leadership, enhance decision-making capacities, and bridge the gap between welfare schemes and their targeted female beneficiaries.

The initiative moves beyond conventional administrative outreach to actively equip women with the knowledge required to safeguard their health, navigate the digital world securely, and assert their legal rights.

High-Level Administrative Synergy at Zila Parishad

The central, district-level event was hosted at the Zila Parishad Auditorium in Jaipur. The symposium brought together multiple administrative arms, including the Department of Medical, Health and Family Welfare, the Department of Rural Development, and the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.

Senior officials and domain experts engaged in interactive dialogue tracking the execution of women-centric welfare policies, evaluating delivery mechanisms to ensure that benefits reach marginalized households in both rural blocks and urban clusters.

Key Awareness Tracks: Bridging Health, Safety, and Social Reform

The Nari Chaupal stood out for its focus on highly relevant contemporary issues. Rather than limiting the discourse to general financial aid, workshops were conducted on critical topics vital to a woman’s quality of life:

Digital Literacy & Cyber Security: With the rise of digital financial inclusion, women are increasingly targeted by online scammers. Experts educated attendees on protecting personal data, identifying phishing attempts, preventing social media hacking, and reporting digital harassment.

Cervical Cancer Prevention: Addressing a critical public health concern, medical professionals raised awareness about the symptoms of cervical cancer, the absolute necessity of routine screenings, and the availability of preventive vaccination.

Anemia Control & Nutrition: The health department distributed informative literature on eradicating nutritional deficiencies and managing anemia among women and adolescent girls through balanced diets and government-supplied supplements.

Eradication of Child Marriage: Law enforcement and social welfare officers reiterated the strictly punitive legal consequences of child marriage, urging community leaders to proactively report instances and promote girls’ higher education.

Improving the Sex Ratio: The forum highlighted community-led interventions designed to eliminate gender bias, monitor prenatal diagnostic abuses, and celebrate the birth of girl children.

Legal Literacy Drive: The technical sessions provided detailed orientations on legal protections against domestic violence and workplace harassment. Participants were introduced to the operational networks of Help Centers, legal aid cells, and the ‘Sakhi One-Stop Center’ helpline system.

Folk Media and Street Plays Drive the Message Home

To cross literacy barriers and make complex legal and medical information accessible, the campaign relied on traditional performance arts. Creative groups performed localized Nukkad Nataks (Street Plays) that effectively illustrated social issues like cyber fraud and early marriage. These performances, coupled with regional cultural exhibits and multimedia presentations, succeeded in breaking down policy structures into easy-to-understand communal messages.

Direct Financial Empowerment: Lado Protsahan Yojana

A major highlight of the event was the direct distribution of benefits under the state’s flagship ‘Lado Protsahan Yojana’. Dignitaries on stage handed over symbolic checks to selected girl children and women beneficiaries. This program underscores the government’s commitment to securing the financial future of girls, incentivizing their education, and preventing early drops from formal schooling.

Massive Turnout Underscores Local Engagement

The ‘Nari Shakti Vandan’ campaign witnessed extensive community mobilization. The institutional turnout demonstrates strong public participation across the district:

Event Operational Jurisdiction

Verified Number of Active Participants

Jaipur District Level (Main Event)

310 Participants

Block Level (Combined Rural/Suburban Blocks)

1,622+ Participants

Cumulative District Engagement

1,932+ Active Women Leaders

Prominent Dignitaries in Attendance

The event was closely managed by top-tier administrative officers and social sector pioneers. Notable figures steering the discussions included:

Devayani — Additional District Collector (III), Jaipur

Parthvi — Deputy Director, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS)

Dr. Rajesh Dogiwal — Representative, Women Empowerment Department

Nitisha Sharma — Executive President, Inaya Foundation

In their concluding addresses, the leadership panel emphasized that sustainable governance is impossible without the active participation of women in institutional decision-making. They urged the gathered block representatives to act as ambassadors of change in their respective villages.

JAIPUR. In a bid to ensure that the benefits of the state government’s ambitious welfare schemes reach the last mile, a high-level review meeting was held on Wednesday at the Collectorate Auditorium. The meeting was chaired by Jaipur District Collector Sandesh Nayak.

During the session, the District Collector emphasized that providing timely benefits of flagship public welfare schemes to every eligible individual is a moral responsibility of the administration. He directed officials from various departments to fast-track pending cases and achieve targeted growth within strict timelines.

Sharp Focus on Food Security and Lado Protsahan Yojana

Addressing food security concerns, the District Collector instructed the District Supply Officer (I), Priyavrat Singh Charan, to expedite the process of onboarding newly eligible families under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) following due legal procedures.

Furthermore, departmental officers were strictly ordered to prioritize and swiftly resolve all pending applications under the ‘Lado Protsahan Yojana’—a scheme aimed at the welfare and empowerment of girls.

Boosting Water Conservation and Education Campaigns

Environmental sustainability and human resource development took center stage during the discussion, with the Collector issuing the following directives:

Karmabhoomi Se Matrabhoomi Campaign: Departments were directed to implement rain-water harvesting initiatives, which include recharging dried-up tube wells and installing water recharge systems in waterlogged areas.

Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan: Education department officials were tasked with bringing qualitative improvement and accelerating the expected progress of this educational campaign.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana: Officials were urged to maximize outreach to local artisans and traditional craftsmen to ensure they benefit from this central scheme.

Additionally, Sandesh Nayak micro-reviewed the progress of several other critical initiatives, including the PM-KUSUM Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY), PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), Swachh Bharat Mission (both Urban & Rural), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and the Atal Pragati Path, ordering officials to overcome implementation bottlenecks immediately.

Key Officials in Attendance

The review meeting saw active participation from senior administrative figures, including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zila Parishad Pratibha Verma, Additional District Collector (I) Vinita Singh, Additional District Collector (Jaipur City-North) Mukesh Kumar Moond, Additional District Collector (III) Devayan, and CPO Dr. Sudeep Kumawat, alongside other district-level departmental heads who joined both in person and via video conferencing.
