The police force has adopted a “Zero Tolerance” policy against illegal modifications that compromise public safety and law and order.

A Massive Single-Day Operation: 7,721 Violators Booked

The scale of the operation was evident on Sunday, June 14, 2026, when Rajasthan Police penalized a staggering 7,721 vehicles in just 24 hours. The crackdown primarily focused on elements that hinder visibility or cause public nuisance.

The official breakdown of the action taken on June 14 includes:

• Black Film (Tinted Windows): 2,853 vehicles (The highest number of violations).
• Faulty Number Plates: 1,989 vehicles penalized for non-standard or unauthorized plates.
• Unauthorized Words/Signs: 1,041 vehicles for displaying unauthorized designations or symbols.
• Illegal Structural Modifications: 726 vehicles.
• Unauthorized Lights & Hooters: 674 vehicles for using red/blue lights or sirens without permission.
• Pressure/Air Horns: 438 vehicles booked for noise pollution.

Kota City Leads the Enforcement Drive

In the statewide performance rankings for the June 14 operation, Kota City emerged at the top with 406 registered cases. Other major districts and police units also reported significant enforcement activities:

A Call for Public Cooperation

DG Traffic Anil Paliwal emphasized that the primary goal of this special campaign is to reduce road accidents and foster a culture of disciplined driving. He stated that illegal modifications like black films are often used by anti-social elements to evade detection, making them a serious security risk.

The Rajasthan Police has issued a formal appeal to the public, urging vehicle owners to voluntarily remove illegal pressure horns, unauthorized sirens, and black window films. “Abiding by traffic rules is not just about avoiding fines; it is about ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road,” the department stated.

With the campaign set to continue until the end of June, the police have indicated that the intensity of checks will remain high to ensure that Rajasthan’s roads become a model for safety and order.
